Heck, there are SO many good PSUs out there to be had for around $100...why would you mind spending another few bucks for what is the foundation of your system. Antec has never let me down...I have two of their PSUs that are going on 4 years and never skip a beat. Silverstone is another i've recommended on these forums...and OCZ has been a surprise hit for me in the past 2 years.

bushwack October 7, 2007 Share bushwack Member October 7, 2007 I couldn't see today's gamer buying one of these power supplies if building a new system. I would say a few would be OK for replacements for older single core and single GPU systems though. I had a Coolmax 450w for a few years and it served well, was quiet and looked good to boot. I think it's all a scam, I'm going to mod my molex connections to fit into standard dual pronged outlets.
