Mad Bean November 7, 2007 Share Mad Bean Member November 7, 2007 Hey guys, I'm having a little issue and I know you guys will be able to help. My pc has 200GB of harddrive space and I have it divided into 5 different sectors C thru H. My issue is, that drive C only has 970MB of space left and I want to free up some of that onto the other drives. Would it be better to move some programs to the other drives or can I consolidate some of the other drive? If I move some programs, how do I do that and what is the best way to do it? mookie November 8, 2007 Share mookie GC Alumni November 8, 2007 Ideally if there's some junk you can just move that'd be what I'd do. Otherwise I'd relocate some larger programs. Some programs you should be able to move and do a fast reinstall/repair install to the new directory, but if you have problems this might help: http://www.gamrs.co/forums/in...showtopic=33569
[LaW]Maverick November 8, 2007 Share [LaW]Maverick Member November 8, 2007 On a side note... There's really no good reason to partition drives anymore, and it causes problems when you run low on space (as I'm sure you're seeing now) My advice? Back up you stuff and kill the partitions

Mad Bean November 8, 2007 Author Share Mad Bean Member November 8, 2007 Thats what I was thinking about just having 2 partitions. I really just want to move itunes and adobe photoshop to one of the other partitions that has more space. I'm just concerned about losing data and I'm not totally sure how to move them and the best way.

akaM2 November 27, 2007 Share akaM2 Member November 27, 2007 You know of any free solutions like http://www.symantec.com/norton/products/ov...p&pvid=pm80Can he delete say 2 or 3 of his partitions and then create 1 bigger partition? Can he do this within windows for free?http://www.ranish.com/part/
Metallurgic November 27, 2007 Share Metallurgic Member November 27, 2007 (edited) Unless you have Photoshop and iTunes highly customized, I would just uninstall/reinstall onto another partition. As for resizing and moving existing partitions, I have no experience with that. Edited November 27, 2007 by Metallurgic
