Playaa June 27, 2008 Share Playaa Member June 27, 2008 Why is it considered a hack though? All it does is make Firefox open up more connections to the sites you're trying to load. It's actually a bad thing for the webservers your visiting and can get you in trouble if you are using Firefox in a corporate environment (and use it alot...like I did...and do...awkward...) dwEEziL June 27, 2008 Share dwEEziL Member June 27, 2008 I just need to figure out why the firefox.exe process never closes on this computer. I have to manually kill the process everytime. I believe I know "what" (in a vague sense) caused it, but not quite sure how to fix it short of a format/reinstall. It started happening with FF2 after I upgraded XP to Vista. I know, never do this...I was feeling lazy. I plan to do a format reinstall of this systems once I get stuff backed up.
Preacher June 27, 2008 Share Preacher Member June 27, 2008 Actually I believe it's a crack not a hack if I'm not mistaken. Actually it isn't really either since it is simply changing the settings except for the single integer entrance.
dwEEziL June 27, 2008 Share dwEEziL Member June 27, 2008 That's what a "hack" is. Changing stuff in the programming...in this case, a config file/db.
