DNA July 1, 2008 Share DNA Member July 1, 2008 So I have a 8800GTS 320mb GFX card and was thinking to get another one to SLi it, but the price for them is more then 8800GT's with 512-640mb, or new HD cards. Is it worth while to do the SLi for another card or just a new card (which on) and go with the largest MB card is what I have heard...Yes/No...input?? Anyone want a 8800GTS 320 card, if I do the upgrade??
bushwack July 1, 2008 Share bushwack Member July 1, 2008 (edited) I would just get a newer model card and sell the old one. The 8800 GT cards really pack a punch for the price. Almost as fast as the newer 9800 model GTX that's sells for more. Doh, I'd love the card but I just bought a 7900 GTO for the kids. ZeroDamage July 2, 2008 Share ZeroDamage Member July 2, 2008 While the 4870 HD is the card to get right now, the 4850 Packs quite the punch for a $199 card. Much more so than the 8800gt at the same price point as well as the 9800 gtx.

Cujo July 2, 2008 Share Cujo Member July 2, 2008 4850 is the way to go for sure. unless you can find an 8800gt 512mb for less than $130.
bushwack July 2, 2008 Share bushwack Member July 2, 2008 Asus 4850 512mb $165 after MIR As much as I don't like ATI and Asus this card seems to perform good for the price. My luck it would burn my house down.

Nope Most of the 9800 GTX can now be found for $199...that card is 15% faster than 8800 GTS 512 or 8800 GTX 768... dump the
