Looking for Windows XP Home CD

larry, the xp home eula permits the key to be used only with the original cd. you need to go buy a new copy, or i'm telling.

with love,

sj

haha! The EULA also states you don't actually own the software, just a license to use it so I highly doubt any competent judge is going to side with MS on this one.

And sj - can you quote the exact part of the EULA that shows that I have to use the original CD with the CD key?

Except as otherwise expressly provided in this EULA, you may install, use, access, display and run only one (1) copy of the SOFTWARE on the COMPUTER. The SOFTWARE may not be used by more than one (1) processor at any one time on the COMPUTER, unless a higher number is indicated on the Certificate of Authenticity. ... You may not loan, rent, lease, lend or otherwise transfer the CD or back-up copy to another user.
if you didn't make the backup, you can't use it. :)

legit larry my arse.
