I would pay a $20 premium over retail price to have this game this coming week instead of waiting until the 28th. I'm going to have a full bachelor weekend for the 17-19th for the first time in a looooong time and I would love to be able to put 40 hours into Fallout 3 during that time. I tried my new Nuka Cola bottle opener and I have to say it's the best one opener I own now. I went and ordered the Collector's Edition. I haven't pre-ordered a game since Diablo 2, yes it was the collector's edition. Oh man it's really been 8 years? An interesting ebay auction I watched go off. Can't do either, not allowed sick days (well, technically I have them, but I'm responsible for too much that would come grinding to a halt if I wasn't there) and I need my sleep. boiler October 28, 2008 Share boiler Member October 28, 2008 FYI for anyone wondering about melee-focused gameplay - I ran across a blog entry from a Bethesda developer who details several different characters he used to play through the game. Surprisingly, a few of them were melee-exclusive. He does mention that it is more difficult to play this way since most enemies have guns and you will be spending most of your caps on stimpacks, but it seems possible to not ever fire a gun if you so choose. He also claims to have played a character that never killed anyone, ever. Apparently it may be possible to play through the game only talking your way through things or running away.
