No Dice, XP is now "worse" then Vista. I reverted back to SP2, waiting for Windows 7 (Maybe they will get it right this time? Fingers crossed, I don't want to buy Apple, or Linux or Unix or anything else ;/)

Disabled all start-up programs, including av and windows firewall, looked into getting the "hotfix" for windows, but don't really want to go through the hassle of actually getting it. SP2 is giving me no problems at all, the only reason to get SP3 is for the backdoor patches for hackers to get in, which I'm not too worried about. I may try again another day when I feel like troubleshooting for more then a couple of hours.

 

I didn't try the combofix, I did try the cmd prompt stuff, and it did nothing to help.
