Scenario: Playground, I'm a T, CTs are losing. We lose a couple of men, so we're down two guys, lose 3 rounds, I say "teams please". For some unknown reason the guy with 43/3 or whatever on the other team switches to our team, so of course now we'll dominate. A few minutes later, an admin switches me over to the other side. No problem. A round later, WE'RE down two guys. I again say, "Teams please" (recall I'm now on the team that was losing in the first place when we HAD the 43/2 guy, and now down 2 guys) and am kicked from the server. When I rejoin, I ask why and am told "You kept whining about teams and they were fine". Is this right? Is this how you want to run your server? If so, fine, I'll find another server to call home if I'm no longer welcome here. I find it ironically amusing that a server which professes Christianity and fair play, abuse a loyal regular in this fashion. I did not deserve this.

 

Scenario: Map change to Italy. I rejoin server and complain about being treated the way I was. Some words are exchanged with Mr. X who was apparently the one doing the kicking. A few rounds go by. I'm then INTENTIONALLY TK'd THREE TIMES by two different people, asking something be done after each instance. Nothing is done for three rounds after the LAST time I was TK'd, with apparently one admin on rcon and one admin playing the game with us. I get kicked for saying "Teams please" twice over the course of 5 minutes on two different teams, yet people can TK me for round after round. Again, I complain and this time get banned for 1440 minutes. What is going on here?! I try to be nothing but a fair, consistent player, populate your server, wrack up countless hours of server time and this is how I'm treated?! For what, an admin getting owned on the opposing team and taking offense to me saying "teams please" when it's lopsided? You had a guy that had like a 20:1 ratio!!!! I'm being kicked and banned, faster than some "Player" named slugs that wander in and TK? If this is the way you treat the members of your "Community" and if this behavior will continue, let me know now so I don't waste any more of my time keeping your server full. You want loyalty and respect, show a tiny bit of it. I am an adult, I am civil, I respect and obey the rules of the server and REGULARLY encourage other players to do the same. This behavior is totally inappropriate.

Well, I was acting maturely saying "Teams please" (and that is a quote) on two separate occasions, from two different teams, both being down 2 or more people, and guess what? I didn't have "absolutely no problems".

If you honestly believe that is how it happened Hoogz, I can pull the logs and just post it here. Suffice to say this

 

T's were up like 10 or 12 to 1 over the CT's. You were a T. At no time when you were on the winning team did you say "teams please", neither did any of the CT's for that matter. Not really necessary, but when the tables turn, the CT's won 5-6 in a row, and you're on the losing side, then it became an issue.... But when you asked for teams, they were not uneven. Numbers-wise, maybe, but T's were holding their own. And I wasn't alone thinking teams were ok before that. I also wasn't alone in thinking you were whining. At one point, you said "teams please" and it seemed weird because soon after was "terrorists win" (your team). Anyways, you kept up with it, so I switched you to CT. If you felt as tho you were on the losing team, then no harm putting you on the winning team. No one else was complaining. I thought it was settled, you prefer CT anyway (I think). Then, just a coupla rounds later it's "teams please" again - and I kicked you - the one and only time I kicked you. You came back with something like "I said who kicked me and why?" demanding an answer.

 

Map changes to italy, and you started in about how someone was TKing. There was an admin on your team, so I asked them to watch whoever you said for TKing. I even sent you a private message about that. That admin told me he saw no intentional TKing. Eventually tho, he kicked that player. I had left the issues occurring on that team to that admin because he was there and could see what was happening.

 

And I did give you some slack b/c you've been around here and have been a good player. I even warned you that one more negative comment and you'd be gone. But you kept droning on and on; so much so that others were telling you to hush and quit whining. Then you started complaining about the admining. I'm not going to deal with that attitude. Especially if it is unjustified. So you got banned for a day.

No, when teams are down 2 or more people, it becomes an issue, regardless of what side I'm on. Especially on Playground. I am constantly saying on Voicecomm "Someone needs to go T/CT".

That is not true in the least. Ts were NOT holding their own, they had just lost 3 rounds after teams were lopsided. And of course you weren't alone in that thinking. After getting dominated for 10 rounds, I'm sure most of the players on your team just ate up having an admin on their team encouraging unfair advantage. And what kind of thinking is this?! Oh, because I got lucky a couple rounds, or ran into a few noobs (with even numbered teams) and we won some rounds, I'm now expected and REQUIRED to take on and kill 3-5 enemies per round by myself because you say that's fair?! Stacking teams 10 to 7 is fair because you've been sucking?! I know your cousin Fatty is going to back you up on this, but it's equally as unfair when he does it. You guys think that because you're losing it's fair to ENSURE the other team loses all of it's money and weapons by unevening the teams. You may as well just slay the other team over and over again until you get your way. It's unfair and juvenile when you demand this happen. And heaven forbid you question that logic online, because you'll get immediately kicked and banned for "whining" or talking back or whatever. "If I can't win, I don't want to play! I'm taking my ball and going home unless you give us 3 extra guys!" Whatever.

So you admit, after no dialogue from me other than "Teams please" once on the winning team, then another "Teams please" some rounds later, on the losing team, 2 men down, you kicked me for no good reason. And yes, I came back asking why I was kicked. You would too.

I TOLD you there was intentional TKing and I do not lie. How is someone on my team going to witness anything while playing? So you spent 15 minutes with a 'boohoo for me' attitude, even after informing you of my attempts to deal with the TKer. I said I gave you some slack and there it was.

 

As for some of the other comments in that post, and some of the things when we chatted on AIM, there is really nothing to do with me or this situation about you being number 1 in times kicked. This is the first time I've ever kicked or banned you. Don't think I've ever even run an admin command on you prior to this. So the 'oppression' argument doesn't really fit. And neither does the argument "Fatty will back you up b/c he's your cousin". If he thinks I'm wrong, he'll be sure to tell me, as will any other Mmmm. And I think you may be mixing up past situations into this.

 

Just take a step back. You've always been fun to team with in the past and a worthy opponent. Look around, 90% of the people that play here would never spend 15 minutes just spouting off.

Hoogy baby its Mmmm, you either go by their rules or leave, thats why I haven't been around for 3yrs straight in this community, only so much a person can take before leaving. unfortunatly it sucks when you spend time getting to know everyone, and it also sucks that some of the other clans are more leniate about things, but the way Mmmm pimps out there product its just a natural attraction for people to go and play on their server other then populate the other community servers.

That's fine and dandy, Smoke. I go by their rules. Doesn't seem to matter. I do know for a fact, from past experiences, being an admin for 2 years myself, that if this kind of behavior continues, it will eventually be enough to kill a server. Maybe I'm an "example", maybe I'm an isolated incident, but I don't think so. I've been seeing quite a few "Screw this community" posts and sentiments as of late. If the rampant CS cheating isn't enough, the things we have to deal with day to day certainly is enough to make people put the HL CD back on the shelf again.

Admins catch grief from everyone. I dont know if you have ever been an admin on a very popular server but its not what every non-admin thinks it really is. X was actively trying to keep the teams even. Yet you still spam "teams please". Once upon a time I kicked EVERYONE who said teams or whined in ANY way. Just a simple kick. If they came back and made an issue of it I banned. I have backed off on that.

 

I have enjoyed playing with you a lot. And wish you the best wherever you go. But I wouldnt have put up with all the Mr.X put up with. He has been more than fair with you while you all the while have been complaining about how unfair he was.

 

We have checks and balances. If an admin is wrong we will address it. I feel X was totally justified in kicking you. You decided to respond by spouting more of the complaining. Go be an admin on a server. See if you can put up with guys whining enough to carry on a three page AIM conversation.

I was one of three senior admins on Detroit CS for over 2 years, as well as CS Lansing and a guest admin on another. The web page is still up for Detroit CS. We were a very active server. Please don't climb on your high horse and speak condescendingly to me. I know it's not a joy to be an admin. I don't consider "Teams please" every 30 seconds "spamming". We were down two people. I don't work my butt off and play my heart out to have a group of whining admins intentionally unbalance the teams so they can win.

 

Mr.X has been more than fair with me? The 43/2 guy switches to my team, I am autoed over to CT, a round later short 2 people, I say "Teams please" and I get kicked. That's fair? I hope to God you don't do marriage counselling in your duties, because that is certainly not fair. Totally justified?! I say "Teams please" on a team that's getting dominated, now ALSO 2 men short? This was out of spite, not out of what was just or needed. It's obvious what kind of intellect I am dealing with here. It's also obvious that regardless of what actually took place, you guys will find a way to back eachother. And, you have seen my posts, responses and dialogue on the server and now in chat. Do you think I'd "put up with guys whining, enough to carry on a three page AIM conversation"? The answer is yes, I have and continue to put up with whining. This time, whining from admins, who cannot be proven wrong since when you make a valid point, complain about illogical thought and action, you're kicked, banned, silenced, ignored. Would it be much more easy to go find another server? Yes, it would. I have taken the time to discuss blind belligerence because I've invested quite a bit of time in Mmmm and for the most part, get along famously with most, admins or otherwise. And Mr. X didn't "put up" with anything. I did. His actions caused this, not mine. I was perfectly just in asking for a team being dominated with EVEN numbers, to be evened again when we were down two additional people. Do you dispute that, Con?

I dont feel a kick is a very big deal. If X was just tired of seeing your pleas, I can understand the kick. To be honest, I probably would have kicked. If a guy is constantly intruding upon my enjoyment of the game with demands all the time, I kick 'em. Maybe selfish on my part but that's what I do.

 

Where you are TOTALLY wrong was when you decided to make an issue out of it. If you had come back in and "just played the game" like you claim you do, it would have never been a problem.

 

PLUS!!! X was right for not kicking the first guy right away. You say we should have trusted you and yet the guy apologized all over the place. Until we are sure a TK was intentional we dont kick. What you thought was intentional was only a case of mistaken identity. But you decided to whine about how unfair WE were for kicking you and not that guy. I think maybe you need to step back and look at this thing without all this "victimhood" aspect and see it from our eyes.

I didn't make a big issue of it. I came back, asked why I was kicked. He told me and we played on until I started getting TK'd. The logs are there for you to read.

 

Yes, the guy apologized all over the place. Then TK'd me again the next round. The guy was -3/1. How long have you guys been admining again? It WAS intentional. The guy stood right next to me, stared at me for like 5 seconds as I typed in open chat, then TK'd me twice. It was a bad situation, a bad night for all. Then even after everything had started to die down and we were playing the game, I get banned. Okay. Whatever.

You will not put up with attitudes? We have a saying in Detroit.... "Don't make none, won't be none." A guy that knows what you stand for? I certainly DON'T know what you stand for. I only know what you PROFESS to stand for. You are condoning one of your admins kicking a guy that called for "teams" two players short, losing by X's statement, "16-1". What DO you stand for? You can complicate the truth and facts all you want, but I was kicked for asking for teams to be evened, two men short, losing almost every round. You conveniently skipped over that in your response. And yes, my attitude is getting worse lately, because these types of events are becoming more and more frequent with Fatty coming on and demanding we give him and his team 2-4 extra guys ensuring our losing. I question it, I get kicked. Why even play if you're not happy unless you're winning, be it fair or not, guys? Just don't even log in and say to yourself, "I win!" if you have to cheat to do it.
