I used my wife's Mac to purchase and download Mac OS 10.7.2 Lion then used a tool called Unibeast to create a USB installer for Lion. It is still in the process of installing but when it is done, I intend to make an attempt at installing it on m Laptop here. Lenovo Y560p with an i5, 6GB of RAM, ATi graphics (could be the problem) among other things.

I used the built-in Windows 7 "create system image" tool to backup my entire computer before making the attempt so I can recover if it fails. I am just bored and looking to give it a try. Will post updates throughout.

This is the guide I am using at the moment: http://tonymacx86.bl...lion-using.html

My secondary guide for the Lenovo is here: http://www.hackint0s...f181/263607.htm

It is now installing. Using a USB 3.0 drive in a 3.0 port makes it go fast. 10 minutes remaining and I just started.

I will say that the installer did not like me not using a mouse; the trackpad although working wasn't what it wanted plugged in.
