ctrlfrk June 9, 2014 Share ctrlfrk Member June 9, 2014 Image: http://i.imgur.com/hv0uHSZ.jpg I seem to remember it used to, but it's been a while. I assume it's banned if it does indeed allow you to farm points in the saferoom.
Lookback June 9, 2014 Share Lookback Member June 9, 2014 If I am not mistaken, they are pulling someone up from a ledge to farm pickup points? That has always been bannable for exploiting. I am having a heck of a time making out who that is with my lousy laptop graphics. Kilz? With Deathlok pulling him up?

JackieChan June 9, 2014 Share JackieChan GC Alumni June 9, 2014 What map and what location? The "Distant jet engine" caption can narrow it down for me, but...doesn't help me much, but I'm more or less interested in the location in the map this is taken place. Jerkoff June 9, 2014 Share Jerkoff Member June 9, 2014 That's the finale map in the campaign The Parish, right at the beginning of the safe room. There is a row of closet along the wall that reaches to the ladder, so a player have to jump very precise close to the ladder as if he's about to fall from death but instead hangs on to the closet. ctrlfrk June 9, 2014 Author Share ctrlfrk Member June 9, 2014 It was killz doing the jumping, randoms getting him up. I don't think he was doing it to farm points though. He only did it ~3 times and on that map it doesn't really make a difference cos you're going to get charged to death anyway.

VladPiranha June 10, 2014 Share VladPiranha Member June 10, 2014 I've seen people doing this lately. If you jump off of the proper surface onto the lockers, you'll hang there a few inches off the ground as though death were imminent. There's a good chance that they were doing it just to glitch the game and be funny rather than to hurt fairness. The night someone showed me, that was the case, so don't penalize anyone for it without certainty that it was griefing.
JackieChan June 10, 2014 Share JackieChan GC Alumni June 10, 2014 Yeah, I think I'm going to make it so if the round hasn't started yet, it won't give you points for doing that.
Jerkoff June 10, 2014 Share Jerkoff Member June 10, 2014 Admittedly I have done that a couple times myself before but only for funny reasons. I didn't believe you would get points for picking people up as others have try that before and I didn't get a single point.

Vilkys June 11, 2014 Share Vilkys Member June 11, 2014 (edited) I apologize for going off topic here(kind of), I few days ago I was playing Dead Air, there were only 3 players(myself included) and on the second(third?) chapter the game was one sided(about 1k diff) so I joined the other team midway the round to help and to my surprise the points I made on the infected side were still with me as a survivor. How is that possible? I thought points were lost when switching teams. Edited June 11, 2014 by Vilkys

Pumpernickel July 2, 2014 Share Pumpernickel Member July 2, 2014 Sorry to revive a month old thread but the player picking up the "incapped" person does get points even if the round hasn't started. I had to kick Deadlock since he had acquired 3 points from helping Killz up a few nights ago.
JackieChan July 2, 2014 Share JackieChan GC Alumni July 2, 2014 A kick was not necessary. Just use !setpoints [points]
Pumpernickel July 3, 2014 Share Pumpernickel Member July 3, 2014 (edited) I didn't know about setting points and what it did. I'll do that from now on. Edit: Is it still kickable and bannable? Edited July 3, 2014 by Pumpernickel
JackieChan July 3, 2014 Share JackieChan GC Alumni July 3, 2014 Only if they keep doing it at the start of the map, kick em and if they come back and you see them doing it again later, ban.
