  1. Laz didn't lay down any "smack". Whitney has been a "problem" member for several months. If you do a forum search on her name you'll discover many such incidents in the past. She has been warned on several occasions to knock off such juvenile threats. She chose to ignore those warnings and Laz and Fatty have meted out the punishment that she was warned she would receive. Laz did not act on the spur of the moment. He simply enacted the punishment she was told she would receive. I'm sure that I reflect the opinion of many members that this was both justified and timely. This should be a lesson to all. The overriding theme at GC is good clean cooperative fun. You are expected to use team work when you play, whether it be with noobs or highly skilled players. If you want to do your own thing then use our private server or pub somewhere else. Good job, Laz and Fatty.
  2. He's not the first to invert an RC helicopter. I watched excerpts of a televised presentation of a competition in the states a year or so ago and saw the inversion of a remote heli. Nonetheless it's still amazing.
  3. Suck it up, man!! You took the course, now answer the question!! <runs away, glad that stuff is wayyy in the past>
  4. Do you have the smell of another computer on you? No, but I do have the urge to smoke right afterwards.

Here's another one for you, Mo. I've had this one for nearly a year now. You've got to speak up, man. Use your voice!
  6. Ahh, old equipment. My trusty Tandy X80 bit the dust long ago. How I miss the wonders of an expansive 16K in which you could peek and poke stuff to your hearts content. NOT!!!!!
  7. That'll help some except when my puter goes into one of its mysterious disk churning frenzys. Then I'm done for a couple of minutes. I just haven't been able to figure out why it does that.
  8. Then try RealVNC. My dad's puter is XP home and mine is XP pro. His is the server and when I connect using the RealVNC veiwer it's like being in front of his machine. I have full control, including editing the registry and rebooting. RealVNC has a free version for both server and viewer.
  9. I managed to set up RealVnc on both my and my dad's computer (a remote one). His is the server which gives me full control. The only setup problem I had was a battle with the firewall. Once I found the right place to adjust the setting so that I could access his computer, I was away to the races.

  11. Make sure your will is up to date too. You're going to need everything when they plug those probes directly into the wall. Seriously, though, I hope everything works out in the end and you're back to normal shortly. Good Luck.

    Bring back the dead nana!!!
  20. Oh it gets worse. The old guy can recall each episode and move depicted in that video. How's that for geekiness?
  21. During an all night tuneup of my services I discovered that a service called Shell Hardware Detection Service should be set to automatic as it may have some influence on autoplay. Wouldn't hurt to make sure this service is set to automatic and see what happens. You can always change it back.
  22. Off topic. I think the siq nazi is going to do to your salute just as he did to M2's nana. Now we're going to have to deal with a killed nana being watched by a killed saluting smilie.
  23. I'm no expert on US law, but it would seem to me that you have two choices. One is to plead guilty by mailing the requested fine amount. The second is to send a letter to the court clerk saying that you are disputing the ticket and would like to have a court date assigned in order to plead your case. You should make a copy of that letter for your records. You then address the letter to the court clerk whose address should be on the ticket. Take that letter to your local post office and ask to have it sent be certified or register mail. That's all you need to do as far as I know. Once the clerk gets the letter a date should be assigned and you then attend court on that date. That will be your chance to say, gee judge, it wasn't me who ran the light, it was someone else. After that, you're at the mercy of the judge. I wish you luck.
