So I've always been fascinated with Samurai. So I figured I would be samurai, but I knew it was too general of a name, and probably thousands of people just had Samurai as their name, so I needed to make it more unique. At the time I was playing Starcraft, and Zergling popped into my head. Somehow I just randomly thought of Nightling (the night really came from nowhere, but it really fits now as I do most of my gaming in the late hours of the night) And so I mashed the 2 together into Samurai Nightling. I finally shortened it to just Nightling in most games a few years ago as I figured that was unique enough and easier for people to type and say.

I get the exact same thing as armyguy. SV goes all over the place when the server has a lot of people. but it tends to stay a little more constant 128 with fewer people alive. This really shouldnt be happening i dont think. It should stay 128, even with lots of people shooting etc.

My wife and I want to move but don't have a ton of money saved up for a down payment or anything. We are actually thinking of selling our current house and shacking up with my in laws for 6 months or so while we save everything we would of been spending on our current home to get a decent down payment saved up.

Setting my rates to 64 cmd and updaterate does help sometimes too. I think when the server is near full capacity the lower rates help but with less people, putting them back to 128 is better.

I agree with this. I complain nightly to TBT and others that I can't register for crap on our server. Somehow I can play 5v5 and do awesome, but then get owned by complete noobs in our server time and time again because I rubberband or shoot someone only to die and it say I never hit them.

Looks like a HD6870 compares similar to a GTX560 or 560ti. That would be a decent upgrade I think in the mean time, PM coming your way

Good news though, my wife said come tax refund time, if she doesn't buy me a xmas or birthday gift I can build a new PC. Most likely will reuse my case and PSU, but hopefully upgrade everything else and throw in a SSD for kicks and giggles. I'm gonna hopefully keep it under like $800. Honestly I need a new monitor too, I still rock out a 19", but it still works fine and it's not a necessity.

I love Battle Royale. Watched in on Netflix a few weeks ago, I don't like having to read subtitles, but overall for when it was made, pretty cool.

As in FREE? Honestly I've never bought a Radeon video card, so I'm not sure how to compare it to the geforce cards. Which geforce would this one probably be most similar to?

When i build a new system, I build it NEW. I would be replacing harddrives with SSD. I would be fully upgrading from a DDR2 system to a DDR3 system, so new mobo, CPU, RAM, video card, SSD, and well i could probably keep my PSU. And I don't like to go cheap on my parts. While I get AMD is cheaper, I like Intel. I don't think $1000 is an overestimate by any means. Oh and my current system runs CS:GO at 70-100 FPS (only cuz i cap it at 100) in CMM and 50-100 in our pub. It is by no means unplayable, as I still kill a lot of people and keep a decent K:D. I just thought a new vid card would help a bit for a cheap solution for a while. From what I remember also, a Q9550 blows away a Q6600 performance-wise. It was the highest end CPU besides those ridiculously priced Extreme Core2quads for like $900-1000. I will give building a new system some thought though. If I can scrounge up the cash and talk my wife into it. Probably neither happening anytime soon.

Thanks for the bomb timer change. I was only saying some people ask for the switch, i wasn't saying that we needed to change it. More like, have we looked into it. I personally like it the way it's always been also. It's only something the random pubber asks me when in the server from time to time.
