Finished my build last night with no hic ups.. I thought my sound was fubored for a while, but it turns out you need to actually plug your headset in before it works.. I started playing css a bit and my video card started over heating.. turned out to be a big dust ball in the gpu fan from blowing out my whole antec 900 case. I wouldn't buy that case again, and would trade it for a 300 straight up ( I get 70 miles a gallon on this hog)... way too much dust. Haven't done any benchmarking yet, just played a bit of css..used to play with an amd x2 4400+ and 2 gigs of ram and would get avg 100 fps, 40-60 in a firefight with zero eye candy at 1650x1080.. now it's capped at 200 and doesn't drop below 150 with all settings high and 2x AA.. Yeah good point.. i just don't see the benefit of having such a large drive for your OS when there are faster alternatives. shaft wouldn't get naded as much in round 1 if his game was loading faster..

or you can just spend 15 minutes and use the steam game backup tool... throw it to a dvd size file and restore from that.

How much hd space does windows 7 take up? Was going to install xp tonight on my box on 2 36 gig raptors in raid 0, but am leaning towards just installing xp on 1, then windows 7 on another and being able to dual boot from sep hds..

I know alot of people on here have the P5Q Pro and an intel core 2 duo (8400 or 8500).. any issues? Any tips for the build? Going to update the BIOS to Version 1613, anything else?

all of these are for deleted files on partitioned hard drives or media cards etc.. i'm having trouble finding one that is able to recover files that aren't deleted from a hard driver where the partition has been deleted

No point in getting the Antec 900 imo unless you are going to do some overclocking and need to move alot of heat. Sure, it's cool looking, but not worth the dust problems you'll have in a couple months.. I'd go with the 300 or similar Antec Also.. agreed with M2.. no need for that mobo unless you want to OC.. you can save a couple hundo there.. Also - why 1.5 TB hd? do you really have that much anchient battlefield p0rn? I'd go with a couple 500 in raid 0, or buy a 72 gig raptor for your OS and some redundant drives for storage

Either the one Preacher linked.. or the T240 or T260 (Samsung's 26"'er) both look good imo.. If you want HD, check out the T260HD Keep an eye on your pixel size... especially if you go bigger then 26". I bought a 32" LCD (1300 x 780 or whatever) with the intention of gaming on it, but it was way to grainy. I'm contemplating going from my samsung 22" to either the 24" or 26". The pixel size for 1600x1050 at 22" is the same (.002 difference or something) as 1900x1200 at 26" (24" would even be smaller)
