  1. Interesting, I used to think the opposite was true. The more ways to bombsites, the easier it'd be for the T's. I'd be interested in seeing what our current map rotation looks like in regards to this standard. Does an entrance count if you have to go through the other bombsite to get there? Like cbbl: 2 into A, 1 into B, or is it 3/2? I always thought it had something to do with the size of the entrance vs. the size of the area from which the entrance can be covered, e.g., how easy it is to cover the only entry points vs. how hard it is for the other team to secure entry.
  2. Aww ... sweet, I get it now.
  3. You know ... every time you are on, your voice reminds me of an old friend from college. I went to college in Minot, ND -- which happens to be close enough to the Canadian border that a good percentage of the students were Canadian. I had a linux server plugged into the campus network that ran a Quake (original Quake) server with the CTF mod. One of the guys in my class, Spencer Davis, would roll us in CTF. Probably just your accent, but you totally remind me of him
  4. That happens nearly every time I play that map, no which side I'm on and no matter who is with or against us. It seems like it takes a pretty special team on the T side to do much of anything.
  5. Of course .... a much simpler way would be to glue the dry sides of two buttered pieces of toast together.
  6. Lol ... this is probably what I'll be like when I'm 70, and one of you young 'uns invents some new fangled contraption. http://www.devilducky.com/media/57946

  9. Took a bit after install, to get source to display retro again. Had to do something like: - launch -- retro not in list - add retro to list - retro not in list - exit source - launch source -- retro not in list - reboot machine - launch source -- retro not in list - connect to immut - disconnect/exit source - launch source-- retro finally in list - connect to retro Umm ... yay that fixed it.
  10. Bleah ... 15 % and 100 KB/s sux.
  11. It just crashes my machine. Connects to immut fine, but retro crashes. I assume this has something to do with the sv_pure, but I've never installed any hacks -- and I'd expect it not to die with a illegal memory read error. Dunno if anyone else experienced this -- I'm installing a fresh copy of source. Yay.
  12. 32,000 players? It likely means that the server's user database contains more than 32k players -- not that 32k players were connected to the server at one time.
  13. So, I walk in to a convenience store that happened to be in the same building as my doctors appointment. This clerk is sitting by the register with a little easle and a paint pallet painting a picture of a trout. So I took his card so I could look him up. Turns out he is quite talented. The convenience store must help pay the bills I guess. http://www.wildforlife.net/

Another lamer from the brilliant minds at iJoke. one sec, my windows update forced a crash. Why does every post have to turn into a Microsoft vs Apple debate? Stop the hate and just face the truth: OSX is better.
