Back when all this first started, I had no idea it would become this huge. Everyone involved has done an incredible job, especially Jackie, who took his own time and with no formal coding training to rebuild the server and buy system after the Sacrifice update broke everything. Love you all!

Hi there! Ive been waiting for you. I banned you after watching my console feed, that night. Ive actually had my eye on you for some time now. Ive been running game servers for a long time, so trust me when I say what you do is nothing new. The blank name with the private profile, the excuses that your "sound doesnt work" and your "key is broken", Ive seen it all before. The fact that you checked if Meng was still on the server before all this, as well as your continued history of incidents on our server, show me exactly what youre about. So I think its safe to say at this point that youre no longer welcome on our servers. Im sure there are many other, far less moderated servers you can join and have your fun on. Hilarious, but is this making the game unplayable? It keeps spawning me in the floor then disconnecting me.

Bit of a problem with the minecart track in the nether: it keeps spawning pigmen in the tunnel and they get caught up in the carts and killing everyone. I did my best to clear them out but they were all over the place, so maybe need an idea how to prevent this.

Jackie has done this already, a few times. Good for fun once in a while but not as a permanent thing.

I know very little about coding, but wasnt there something that was preventing the extra players mod from working on Linux, like it would play one map then reset every time?

Sorry I havent been around on the server a lot, 50 hour work weeks take a bit out of me. Also, some people have an endless tolerance for repetition, but I dont and Im really bored of the same old maps over and over after 2000+ hours. Ill try to get on more in the evenings, and also remember if you have me on Steam and Im online I dont mind coming on to take care of any serious problems.

Hashima Island has gotten a bit more press since it was in the new James Bond movie, its probably one of the creepiest places in the world. Someone actually made an L4D2 map of it, I dont know how good it is but definitely fits with the whole zombie thing. I like that they sent a guy through it with a cam so you can explore it in Google Earth.

Just a little thing that bothered me slightly for a while, and this seems like the best place to talk about it, so to not litter up the main forum with yet another topic. When youre healing a bot, and a player joins that bot as youre healing, it stops the heal. Its fairly rare but theres a few times Ive been healing a bot under heavy fire just to have a player join it and get killed on the spot because the heal timer resets.

There was already a suggestion before about admins being able to force heal people and I explained there why I think its a bad idea. I appreciate all the work thats gone into the buy plugin but one thing Ive noticed with stuff like this is the tendency to take it as far as it can go. Lets try not to let things get bloated and distracting from the core gameplay.

So I decided to join the Minecraft server to see all the new stuff and.... thing is when I was last on I logged out in the Creative world, so now I seem to be stuck in this terrible black void of nothingness. If someone could bring me back to the normal world it would be appreciated. Also I hope the Creative world gets brought over too, that temple thing I built took me a bit of time and Id really hate for it to be lost. Update: Well I joined again today and figured out I was somehow deep underground inside blocks. I dug my way out and now I seem to be in the Survival world, there was a house with a ship near it so whoevers that is sorry theres a really deep hole around your house somewhere....

Well Im sure that some of the custom skins cause glitches, but I get all these errors and Ive never had any custom stuff like that. If you look at Zoey in L4D1, her posture is different than the one in L4D2, because shes just painted over the Rochelle model with her frankly terrible posture. The game tries to reference movements for the old Zoey model that arent there so it comes out with all these errors in the console. Just a way Valve cut some corners porting over the L4D1 campaigns.

Well no, thats not it. What happened when Valve ported over the L4D1 materials, instead of porting the actual L4D1 Survivor models over they just basically stuck the skins of them over the L4D2 models.

Somethings obviously bugged out somehow. I sent crasx a message on steam, hopefully someone comes round to figure it out.

Literally forcing people to play a certain way is a terrible, terrible idea.

Its important to remember in situations like these that whenever a single round is enough to completely destroy one of the "squishy" Infected the server will register a headshot, as the entire body is destroyed. Also, the guns in L4D2 are pretty easy to use compared to a lot of fps games, so an AK with lasers can be downright overpowered in the right hands. That being said, there are some people Ive noticed have some suspicious shooting patterns. Ive seen bullets seem to curve towards targets, well away from the crosshair. While I can think it might be lag at times, when someone does these things consistently it definitely makes me raise an eyebrow. Im not trying to cast doubt on the situation, but its good to be critical of these things before concluding in our minds that someone is cheating.

Wasnt able to actually see the fight, but Ive been following the results and it seems like it was more competitive than a lot of people were expecting.
