Does anyone else find it strange that there hasn't been any updates from MS in awhile and suddenly today there's 13?? Why the wait?

I was under the impression that the new 6800 Ultra's were better than the x800's. But anyways I'd be interested to see how the sli works.

Try having quickswitch between your main gun and your preferred nade. Then having scroll to next weapon or bind a key to it. That's what I do.

If you're on a dSL or cable or better, set your rate to be above 25000. ALso set your cl_rate to at least 10000. You'll get a horrible connection is your rate is under that amount.

I really like the map, but I'm in the minority. I hoped that as people learned the map with would start to like it more but that hasn't happened. I'd have to agree that it should probably get taken off the rotation

It's not the config that makes players good, it's the player. Use the config that works best for you and not for someone else. I know I have a farily uncommon config from what all my friends use, at least that I know of. I play the basic movement keys but moved over to the right 1 key. This way I'm on the "home" row and have more keys available and in reach of my left hand if I need them. As for the graphics and network settings I'm not sure if there are any requirements. So long as you don't have aimbot bound to oh... anything

I have a 25ms Sony 17inch. I bought it almost 2 years ago and then it cost 500. The screen is better than any CRT I've ever had though! And I don't notice any ghosting at all.

I agree that what the girls did wasn't the smartest thing, but on the other hand I think the court decision wasn't just either. Our society has gotten so lawsuit happy in the past years that people sue for anything absurd. This sounds to me like the old woman was going for money and attention without regard for what she was doing. I can understand calling the sherrif if you see someone outside your home, but that's the most extremem reasonable course of action. Cleary the old lady was unwilling to show any amount of compassion or respect for the good intentions the girls had. Her excuse that they shouldn't have been out at that night sounds like a cheap ploy to rationalize her suit as a lesson. Stupid and frivalous suits like this only waste taxpayers' money and peoples' time.

Now you guys are making me want to get back into the CS movie making bus. Hey K-Wix what prog's did you use to make that vid, if I may ask? Back in the day I used SKPlayer to get the stream of images from the demos and then turned that into video with video mach II. I'm thinking about refreshing my skills here for this one. Maybe we should have a contest. Bragging rights or something for the best vid?

Not long after I posted the previous post about rank being mentioned, I first saw the Stats are HEAVILY weighted message. After that point I don't remember seeing the rank one again. Is it possible that someone changed it before you saw my post fatty?

I just noticed on Recrud that it still mentions checking your RANK in the console messages. Maybe that should get removed.

You already solved this it sounds like, but another way you could possibly get it fixed is by following the keystrokes while on another comp. In other words, do the same steps on 2 compes simulatneously, one is your problem one and the other is what you're using to see the screens. I imagine that would work too

i still say it should just be drop the nades and let the game decide. And if someone gets the idea to try and back off just as they blow, his side automatically forfeits! If multiple people on both sides do it, then whichever has less survive wins.

I'm begining to seriously think about buying a second monitor for my desktop. I have 2x21inch CRTs at work for my software work I do and I love it. But does CS:S let you actually see more with 2 monitors, or is the second just somethign else?
