If you do not have IRC, go to www.mirc.com and download and install the IRC client.

It's simple to use.

Plz use and register a nickname that we all recognize.

For a server, join irc.gamesnet.net by typing:

/server irc.gamesnet.net

to join our channel, type:

/join #cccoalition

For more information on IRC, go to www.gamesnet.net

Well, i have it automatically join two channels when it connects. Each channel gets a separate window if that's what you are talking about. So hopping just involves changing windows. I think that's how it works anyways, not an expert at it.

I put the commands in the "perform buffer" in connection manager.

This is not about Mmmm....this is about the community.  So those of you above, quit trying to advertise your private irc's that are great for your clan, good, but come and join everyone in one.

Everyone is allowed....you are free to idle in more than one at a time :)

Trillian is a great proggie. It allows exactly the same functionality as mIRC with the notable exception of PMs. If you're in PMs with someone and they (or you) change their name, Trillian loses the thread of the conversation and opens a new PM on the next message. Kind of annoying, but no biggie.

It's also somewhat intensive in terms of cpu cycles and graphics display, so it's generally a good idea to close it before you play CS.

been a long time since i have been on these forums.

I use irc all the time.. and i downloaded this "script" type mod for it..

www.nnscript.de

i have it set up so if a IP is sent into a chat room, i click it, and choose counterstrike, ut2003, or bf1942 asnd it will automatically connect to that IP, and set u away... saying that u are in the server, and it displays the ip.
