I want to be able to log conversations, use aliases, that kind of thing. Let me know, thanks.

akaM2 January 17, 2005 Share akaM2 Member January 17, 2005 I have trillian and dead aim for aim. I like trillian the best i would go with that if I was you. If you only want AIM chatting though I would go with the newest version of Dead Aim.
Guest zerodamage January 17, 2005 Share Guest zerodamage Guests January 17, 2005 AIM itself installs spyware. I refuse to use it. If I need to log on, i use aim express.
Lunk January 18, 2005 Share Lunk Member January 18, 2005 msn, trillian & skype are the ones I use. Skype also allows you to make voice calls over the internet. Works really well.

Heartless January 18, 2005 Author Share Heartless Member January 18, 2005 thanks for the feedback... I have a couple issues tho. AIM sucks and I cant get rid of the spyware now.. grr... GAIM makes me angry... I will use it when I switch to Linux, although it has REALLY cool options (like you type "u" and it sends "you" and so on..) DeadAIM doesn't have any options I want... And Trillian is cool and all, but for some reason everytime I go to IM someone I get a crash thingy and it all closes! I guess I'm stuck with AIM or GAIM for now. Acid-Flux January 18, 2005 Share Acid-Flux Member January 18, 2005 Why does Gaim make you angry? I havnt had a problem (linux or windows) since i started using it. Plus, it has SUPER DUPER ENCRYPTION
Heartless January 19, 2005 Author Share Heartless Member January 19, 2005 I don't know why GAIM makes me angry... its a good program and all... I guess it's the font issue. I can't change the font on my buddy list and that bothers me.. because it's too small! I can read it just fine, but I want to be lazy.. u know what I mean? Fatty January 19, 2005 Share Fatty GC Founder January 19, 2005 I have AIM and I have no spyware? Then again, all I use is Ad-aware...which hasn't updated for a while. What's another good one of those finder progs?

G1_plattipus January 19, 2005 Share G1_plattipus Member January 19, 2005 http://www.terraim.com/ awesome little stand alone .exe AIM. fits on a floppy disk if you need it to. the default skin is ugly, but you can get a new one to make it look exactly like AIM. it has tabs and logging, which is about all i need. ConGregation January 19, 2005 Share ConGregation Member January 19, 2005 I have the a professional accout with trillian but don't even have it installed. Really got away from all the chat stuff. I either browse or play games online. But trillian worked great for me.
