JackieChan August 11, 2005 Share JackieChan GC Alumni August 11, 2005 wow lvl 7-8 and still in pre, is there any advantage to that? like learning more skills? I go to post around 3-4 <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Plus, in pre, you don't lose anything when you die compared to post. Actually, my level is now seven. I just gained one the other day while roaming around killing ice elementals I still got to find someone still in Pre so I can do some quests with them. Anyone who's still in pre, give me a holler. Unclean August 11, 2005 Author Share Unclean Member August 11, 2005 I've got a character in pre, as do Preacher and Ak0Mg0. Preacher has a E/N5 and I have a Mo5 at the moment. Ak0Mg0 just started a character (ranger?), so he's a lev 1. Buddy us, yo!
JackieChan August 11, 2005 Share JackieChan GC Alumni August 11, 2005 lol, I didn't have time to edit. Sorry, I got someone to party with me to complete my last two quests and she invited me to the post. Sorry! So, anyone who's in post now, give me a holler. Unclean August 11, 2005 Author Share Unclean Member August 11, 2005 I have a R/W13, N/R9 (I think) both in post. I haven't played w/the Necro in awhile though. Let me know when you get to the snowy area in post.

JackieChan August 14, 2005 Share JackieChan GC Alumni August 14, 2005 I share my brother's account, so I can't join any guilds. Wouldn't seem proper.

Unclean August 14, 2005 Author Share Unclean Member August 14, 2005 Well, I know Wolfsblood has a guild, but I believe it's a pretty small one. What would you like out of a guild? Just comraderie and a cape? Sharing of resources? Adventuring together? Or PvP stuff?
Ak0Mg0 August 15, 2005 Share Ak0Mg0 Member August 15, 2005 Not too sure, actually. Comraderie is usually #1, but I am looking to get a new job soon which is 12am-10am Pacific time. So that would make it hard to be on with most of us, hehe.
Unclean August 15, 2005 Author Share Unclean Member August 15, 2005 What? No it wouldn't! You could just get on for a few hours before work. No excuses, Ak.
JackieChan August 15, 2005 Share JackieChan GC Alumni August 15, 2005 I'm not too sure, but I'm thinking of purchasing my own access key for my own account. But it's a pretty big chunk of money compared to what I make an hour in my job. I don't know if I'm going to be willing to fork 50 dollars for an access key... Unclean August 15, 2005 Author Share Unclean Member August 15, 2005 You can get them for $30 in a lot of places. Ebay comes to mind, but there are other sites too. Is that a better chunk?
Wolfsblood August 16, 2005 Share Wolfsblood Member August 16, 2005 Any advice on what kind of guild to join? or is there a guild with GC members in it that I should join? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Actually I have a guild there, called Gathering Order. I'll add you to my friends list, and maybe we can hook up. I have 3 characters post-sear, and one pre. Bushmaster is also in the same guild. I haven't heard of that happening, but that's always in the back of my mind in situations like that.

If I do buy my own key, I plan on getting my brother to transfer my stuff from my old account to my new one... unless there is some way that cannot be done. Here's my way of doing it: 1. Get new account and create character 2. Have my brother go in my character and transfer all items to my temp character 3. Have my brother make another character and transfer all items to his temp character 4. Delete my character from my brother's account. 5. Create a character on my account with the same name after 60 minutes elapsed 6. Have my brother transfer all items to my new character Seems bulletproof to me. I just got to hope it works when I do consider buying a key.

If you customized any weapons, there's no guarentee that even if the new character had the same name as the old one, that the new char could use the items. This applys to armour as well, since all armour is customized to each player by default.
JackieChan August 16, 2005 Share JackieChan GC Alumni August 16, 2005 That's what I was thinking about too. I just hope once I try it out (after I purchase a key) the majority of the items will be transferable.
JackieChan August 16, 2005 Share JackieChan GC Alumni August 16, 2005 Dang... I found a big obsticle. My character is in the searing period. Meaning I have to go through all that hassle to get my stuff back. I'm not going to do that, so I'm just going to delete my character from my brother's account and start with a fresh character with the same name. Wolfsblood August 19, 2005 Share Wolfsblood Member August 19, 2005 I was afraid that might happen. :/ If you have any rare crafting items, you could put them in your brother's stash, then when you get to the searing area, get online with him, and trade them back to you. JackieChan August 19, 2005 Share JackieChan GC Alumni August 19, 2005 I decided not to worry about it. I didn't really have any items worth keeping. I started a new one a couple days ago, and he's a level 8 in searing period.
