Laz.e.rus January 4, 2006 Share Laz.e.rus Member January 4, 2006 I always knew my pc ws totally schizo, and this proves it. Apparantly my lil 128 mb 6600gt running in my old 4x agp slot has no prob with high/ultra settings (made for 256-512 mb cards). And Ansitrophic filtering has almost no hit what so ever. But if I DARE to turn on that antialiasing I can kiss my fps goodbye P4 2.8 NON-HT ( the cpu is able, but the mobo is pre-HT) 1 gig 333 ddr 6600gt 8x agp ( but running in a 4x agp slot) look at this wierd stuff! Vovik January 4, 2006 Share Vovik Member January 4, 2006 (edited) high fps do not guarantee smooth gameplay. in many instances you'll have up to 200fps and then somewhere it would drop to 20 or less. *edit: oh yeah, Antialiasing 16x??? I don't think so Edited January 4, 2006 by Vovik
Laz.e.rus January 4, 2006 Author Share Laz.e.rus Member January 4, 2006 wanted to compare the diff in frames from AT to AA both at 16x. AT caused a drop of .2 fps, AA caused a drop of 60.1 about hi fps... yeah, but wanted to compare med, to high, to ultra. med 70, high went UP to 72, then ultra down 29 to 41. Weird. Youll also notice that my 1600x1200 res went UP by .1 going from med to high lol I jsut ran it at low settins ( for 64 MB cards)...I gained about 3 fps overall
Cujo January 4, 2006 Share Cujo Member January 4, 2006 (edited) can i dl just the benchmark or do i need the whole game? when in ultra quality you're probably starved of ram. do you get any hitching? Edited January 4, 2006 by Cujo
Laz.e.rus January 4, 2006 Author Share Laz.e.rus Member January 4, 2006 some yeah. I wouldnt play it that way. You need the whole game. Then it runs a demo within the game 2x.
