simkiller February 7, 2006 Share simkiller Member February 7, 2006 My old crt started smoking from the vent holes. I'm assuming that's a bad sign, so I'm in the market for a new one. My price range is 200 to 300. I want it to be 19 inch, and not a peice of junk. Anyone out there know of a good one?

simkiller February 7, 2006 Author Share simkiller Member February 7, 2006 (edited) Well NOFX I ordered one just before I saw your post. Oh well. That definitely looks like a great deal. I went with this one. http://accessories.us.dell.com/sna/Product...c=us&l=en&cs=19 Its brand new and will come with a 3 year warranty. It was only $180 and had free shipping with it. The specs are pretty similar to the ones on e-bay you posted with the exeption of this one only being 19 inches. NOFX February 7, 2006 Share NOFX Member February 7, 2006 ahh too bad, you should cancel hehe Im telling ya, gaming on a big monitor makes a TON of difference. I sold my 21" a few years back and had to go back to my 19" and I didnt even want to play anymore haha.

NOFX February 7, 2006 Share NOFX Member February 7, 2006 I think you made the right choice man... I've owned three 21"+ monitors. My first one, even though it was old and fuzzy, it was soo much better to game on than my 17".. somewhere down the line I ended up with a flat crt 19", but bought another 21" just because it was that much better for gaming. I stopped gaming for a while and sold that one. So now that I have time, I finally got another 21". This time it was the Dell 1130. This monitor blows away ALL of my other monitors... especially because its flat and has the trintron tube.... I have a Sony television from the mid 80's with a trintron tube and the picture on that TV still looks awesome. There is two lines that run horizontal across the screen, but all trintrons have that. I dont even notice it anymore. Another bit of advice... If they don't send you a monitor cable, do not buy the one they sell at best buy. Its way to small and distorts the picture(i thought the monitor was messedup at first). The only place i could find one locally was at radio shack. Let me know how you like it. And now you have a bigger monitor and $170 to put in to your bank account or buy hookers...

simkiller February 15, 2006 Author Share simkiller Member February 15, 2006 Hey nofx what do you use to clean your monitor screen. I got this p1130 today from fedex and it's all smudgy. When I used windex or water it seems to make it even worse. Is there a monitor solution or cleaner out there that I need to get?
