Check a review a couple of months ago in MaximumPC magazine.

The Dell 24" seems to be the way to go as far as a dual function monitor...many good review, great color, no ghosting, and good resolution as well as contrast ratio. I think I saw some the other day for right around $589.

That will probably drop in the next 2-3 months.

I thought this was about gaming monitors. Maximum PC just gave pretty good accolades to the newest NEC LCD. Great for games, mate.

I dont think the NEC one is really all that large though Dun. The Dell widescreen monitors are really some of the best quality larger monitors you can get right now especially for that cost.

I went with a Dell 2405.

Every few days there's a new summer sale. Hold off until you see the 15% off deal (always comes with free shipping!).

OR

Go on EBay and try to find a %30 off Dell coupon (they go for around $30-50).

The Dell WideScreens are enticing, but I'm a little wary of why they are cheaper than others (by about $500) They also don't list the response time of their 30" which makes me wonder, it's probably 16ms :yuck: It also has a lower contrast ratio than its 24" counterpart :shrug03:

Man I gotta win the lottery...
