Xoul June 8, 2006 Share Xoul Member June 8, 2006 I don't know about anyone else but, when I see there are 9 players on midwest stock I get discouraged because I know there are bots there. And then I don't even bother to check to see if any other players are on. My suggestion is to get rid of the bots on the server that way people will know if someone is actually on it. I know i'd be more prone to play if there weren't bots there.
mookie June 8, 2006 Share mookie GC Alumni June 8, 2006 Second. I know these bots were put on at a time when Recrudescence was hurting bad for traffic, but that situation has passed.
Fatty June 8, 2006 Share Fatty GC Founder June 8, 2006 Why don't people like bots? Generally only 1 out of 4 deny your commands, which is a better average than real players.
Kruten June 8, 2006 Share Kruten Member June 8, 2006 Bots hack. Their style of playing is too different from real people. Only time I've had fun with the bots was in the zombie server. Join the zombies and get them all to follow you in a rush.

stutters June 12, 2006 Share stutters GC Alumni June 12, 2006 the two bot + fake client combo has been working great for immutable. four bots was good to get recrud out of a slump, but like mookie said, that time has passed. two bots = if one player joins, he has a target until another player joins. once two people join, it's just you two and a few specs. specs don't interfere with gameplay. Brillow_Head June 12, 2006 Share Brillow_Head Member June 12, 2006 We keep bots: You see 9 players, you dont join cause you think its empty. Others see 9 players and join cause they think its full. We ditch bots You see 0 players...you still dont join cause you know its empty. Others see 0 players and wont join cause its empty Bots 1 Not bots

I thought it was 2 bots in-game until 4 humans show up and a total of 9 bots that spec until 9 humans show.
stutters June 13, 2006 Share stutters GC Alumni June 13, 2006 you could be right, it's either 2 or 4 or both (depending on time of day).
Lunk June 14, 2006 Share Lunk Member June 14, 2006 4 bots in-game. When someone joins 1 bot drops out. As more people join the ingame bots drop out. 4 live bodies ingame = no bots in game. Only spectator bots.
