[LaW]Maverick November 22, 2006 Share [LaW]Maverick Member November 22, 2006 What do Canadians say in place of "mileage?" I mean, "kilometerage" is not a word.... This came up at work, and we're all stumped...I guess we're just naive Americans

ScubaDan November 22, 2006 Share ScubaDan Member November 22, 2006 As one who was taught the Imperial system in school and converted to the metric system in the late 70's, I still say mileage. You need some young whelp like Mo of the Eh? Moes to see this.

pavid November 23, 2006 Share pavid Member November 23, 2006 We tend to say Klic's as in how many Klic's is it to Toronto. Although we do still use mileage when talking about how much gas mileage the car gets.
Tristan November 23, 2006 Share Tristan Member November 23, 2006 Nice picture of Arrow Lake, British Columbia. What does USA have? Skyscrapers? Pfft. I agree with Pavid. Although, no idea how to spell Clicks/Clics/Klicks/Klics.

anonymo November 23, 2006 Share anonymo Member November 23, 2006 We say kliks...still milage will pop up with those who either don't know any better or aren't thinking at the moment. And as for the debate that is currently building here...we may have Quebec behind our borders but they are more American than anyone else in Canada...more American tourists visit Montreal than any other Canadian city...so there...ya Queeb lovers!
