anonymo March 28, 2007 Share anonymo Member March 28, 2007 http://www.virtusphere.com/ I've had my eye on this for years (originally thought of it only to discover someone was half way finished designing it so I just waited). Arcades just got a whole lot more awesome! Edit: I'm now seeing if they can rent us one for FF!

EbilDustBunny March 29, 2007 Share EbilDustBunny GC Alumni March 29, 2007 *drool*I want it! want it? where in the world are you going to store that beast? I can picture someone sprinting then tucking and rolling and the ball goes spinning.... like this -->
anonymo March 29, 2007 Author Share anonymo Member March 29, 2007 The ball is made out of polycarbonate which keeps it pretty light...it basically won't have the momentum to keep spinning at high speeds if you fall. Also it only takes up about half a car spot in an average garage (if you have at least 9' ceilings in there) I could easily fit this into my living room. Still haven't had a response to whether they will let GC "borrow" one for July 14th

anonymo March 29, 2007 Author Share anonymo Member March 29, 2007 I wonder if we can get some sponsorship... *lights up the duke signal* I mentioned that in my email. I even offered sponsorship (<lol...first time through i accidentally had a t at the end instead of a p...wooops) options that GC just isn't capable* of so hopefully they'll bite...but even then do they really need the press? appalachian_fox March 29, 2007 Share appalachian_fox Member March 29, 2007 That is simply awesome. I think we all at one point in time or another wanted to make something like this, but these guys went out there and actually did it. You should totally lie all you have to so they will come to FF. If I'm not mistaken, one of the pictures said it was at PAX, the Penny Arcade Expo. Just tell them we have, what 10,000 or so attendees...
EbilDustBunny March 30, 2007 Share EbilDustBunny GC Alumni March 30, 2007 we can just take it and put a giant collapso ball in it's place...
