Chimmpp April 21, 2007 Share Chimmpp Member April 21, 2007 (edited) Scares me a bit that the only way we (humans) will be able to beat computers in 15 years is if we actually beat them... unless we give them the ability to beat (which we are doing currently). dragonfly April 22, 2007 Share dragonfly Member April 22, 2007 I'm not worried about future computers... there is one truth that will never die, and if need be, it's our backup plan: baseball bats > computers

Tek-Almighty April 23, 2007 Share Tek-Almighty Member April 23, 2007 what I find interesting about all of this is the fact that even though we are witnessing the exponential growth of information in the tech/data age...we are increasingly, debilitatingly, separating ourselves and losing personal connections to others. not only that, but we are increasingly turning what used to be personal, close, and transcendent interactions with others and nature into something virtual... my two cents. i realize this everytime i choose to disconnect for a week or so...no internet, no TV, maybe some radio, but that's it... it's nice. it's what will happen when the fossil fuel economy collapses anyways...
