Question: Did the player NorgmaN killed forgive him?

I believe so.

 

If the player themself obviously thought it funny enough to not even punish NorgmaN for the "offence", I don't see why an admin escalated it.

While the attitudes weren't necessarily appropriate, they weren't unwarranted.

If everyone thinks it's funny, and someone who wasn't involved decides to make it an issue, it's questionable as to who is really making the gameplay less fun.

 

I'd also like to point out (and I KNOW this is gonna cause some trouble) that it seems people have bigger attitudes towards us because we rock.

I've heard people who've posted in this thread questioning norg's legitimacy (skill-wise) within the last 10 days over in game chat. It seems like being good is almost getting people to fish for reasons to kick us.

 

Yesterday, while playing with rice eater on my team, I believe on russka, a terrorist was planting the bomb in the outside site. I was in ct spawn snow area, and shot him twice before being flashed as he planted. I threw a nade over the box as rice eater ran up the ramp into the site (I thought the t was still there.). I killed rice eater with the grenade, and discovered the t had gone into the upper passage. I killed him, and defused the bomb.

 

At this point, I was 30 and 2.

 

Immediately after in the next round, I see rice eater protesting my grenade with "Come on he threw that right on my head on purpose" or something like that.

 

Rice eater from #tWc, the same as Raw.

 

If anyone was watching my screen, they would have made the same mistake as me. I apologized, etc etc. But still, it seems like people overreact to EVERYTHING we do, and it's not because we're regulars, it's not because we're sometimes knobheads. I think it's because we're good and people don't like being constantly bettered. (A horrible reference of bettering someone by killing them when they're on their team, but I did win the round)

 

Also, I do think Raw-C said he never said anything about wanted tookey, myself and norg banned....when I've heard it from a couple people already.

I changed my name to the comedic "Terribles Below This Point" when I was leading. people typed LOL in game, even on my team.

Scrimming and Practice is very different from a CAL match. In a scrim you can goof off like what xT, gT, and N602 do. It's still fun and we still play at 110% of our abilities. If the other team is bad enough xT will even take turns trying to ace the other team. In vent we're always teasing or making fun of each other.. It's plain fun at a competitive level. In a match you won't see any of the jokes or messing around you see in a scrim. We play in a league to win and that's what we're going to do. Practice.. is practice. Do what you want.. Discom and I spend our practice times bunnyhopping around maps. We spent at least 5 hours trying to perfect the nuke jumps. It was fun and frustrating.

So.. here's what I have to say. If you are not having fun playing at a competitive level with your team then leave it and join one that you can have fun with. I must've PMed Laz 100 times about Jackie annoying me and I would refuse to play with him. However, ever since he left the team I have been able to have a much more enjoyable experience. And honestly, if you're going to spend 98% of your CS time playing in scrims and matches.. why would you want to do it and not have fun? 99% of my CS time is scrims, practice, and matches. I do not pub anymore because I only play on GC pubs and West is dead. Retro gives me horrible registry and ping so i don't bother anymore.

And.. for the record.. Scrim or Practice, even if I'm bunny hopping alone is funner than pubbing to me.

'you guys just don't get it' - I was telling you that when you play 3 matches a week and spend 98% of you time in Scrim. that Pubing is the only FUN thing to do.

What i ment by 'you guys just don't get it' is i know that you never played that much at the level. and its hard to fully understand it untill you have. that is all. wasn't trying to insult anyone

In CAL-O I'm pretty sure it's 1 match a week. And if you're talking 3 scrims a week.. I do 5+ scrims a night. 10+ if i get home around six or have the day off work.

So I come home from work, and I see all you little nerds have been forum trolling this post all day

 

1st) Like I said in the first post I made, EVERYTHING you need to make a decision is in the server logs. I don't have admin or any rights other to play in your server. Everything I typed back to Raw is in mm1.

 

2nd) I tk'd a kid at the last second of the round with a knife slash right after he knifed someone. He laughed about it, the whole server laughed about it. Everyone except Raw. If its that big of a deal, I'm sorry. I definatly don't agree with it, however, its not my server.... Yet. And to clear it up so Mookie doesn't sit at his comp all night going through the logs, I'll just explain what happend afterwards. I am guessing Raw said something to me right after that, and I didn't see it, then I see something along the lines "i'll take it you did it on purpose?" and I replied "?". Then Raw said something along the lines of "you know thats agianst the rules and I'm going to ban you". Ect ect. Nuggz gets involved b/c we were in vent together laughing about it and how, no offence, stupid that sounded. And he defended me. Now what he said on Mic I don't know, but I'm sure it was for the most part mature and calm. After about 2 minutes Raw seemed to "not care anymore" and it was a dead subject. Then he started talking about it again. I'm not sure who started him up, but it wasn't me. Then all of a sudden "Ok I'm going to ban you now." I replied "LOL" b/c I thought this was over with. Banned.

 

3rd) You guys know I'm not out to destroy your server or your friendships. And 99% of the time when someone tells me not to do something, I don't do it. Example. The other day on Cbble, I got on and Lunk joins, I gave him some smart A remark, and he said "not tonight". I said ok, and played, no biggie.

 

Overview.

 

From my POV this is just admin abuse (which i've seen a little bit more of recently, however I keep to myself and let it fly, not my server and I don't care to argue about it either). Some agree I should be banned. Many others don't, and you can ask about anyone who was playing that 1 round, that they saw nothing but hilarity of me swiping Chew.

 

If you need anything else from me I'll check back here again tonight, guess I'll be DM'ing tonight.

I don't know what being in CAL/CEVO and practicing has to do with pubbing. IMO pubbing is for time when your team isn't on, and you wanna learn every single possible spot for some noob to try and hide at. Notice I die much less on T side then CT. Also, don't look at my CAL user and say I'm not on a team. Right now I'm playing ProjectGamer 1.6 for fun. If you wanna see anything check the CAL ID page.

This wasn't disobedience on my part, you only told tookey last night, and I thought it's because he posted something stupid in the forums in reply to this. I didn't know that any form of outside interpretation wasn't welcome.

 

To be fair, it does concern me when I hear that "tookey norg and limb should be banned" when directly coinciding with norg's comedic teamslay.

 

I mean, last night you were handing out admin slaps on request. They don't cause harm, but they're not a part of the typical game. And appeasing 10-year-olds I know doesn't matter to you. This probably is slightly outside the rules for an admin, but no ones going to complain about it because it's freaking funny.

 

 

I promise, no more posts on this thread too.

 

I don't think admin status should excuse someone because they do something freaking funny...its the fact that its freaking funny that excuses it. Thats why norgs stab was cute. thats why you slapping that 10 year old was cute.

People started saying that'd be ridiculous to ban over something like that and they're right. 1 TK does not a ban make, it was your attitude about it and nuggZ that got it escalated.

 

I've already unbanned nuggZ and just requested that you post up that you'll follow the rules along with your steamid and it'd be done. Why you and your friends have to come in there and continue to attempt to justify your actions or slander me is beyond me. You think its admin abuse, even the people who disagree with the initial ban havn't overturned the decision.

 

Also, I've been over this already, but I never even mentioned Tookey or any of your gang in any reference to banning any of you until nuggZ started requesting himself to be added to the banned list. What was my attiude, because I remember being the first one to drop it when you said to. And I can't quote exaclty what you said, I dont' take SS of every second I play. I use my brain to try and recall as close as I possible can to what happend. I used "abuse" wrong choice of word, how about over zealous use of admin? Since your trying to nit pick everything I said in my defense, to try and deter away from the situation at hand.

 

And as for my friends posting, I dont' tell them too, they do it on their own accord.

Yes, you've said that you typically follow the rules and don't do stuff after people tell you not to. I'm going to say the same thing to you that I said to nuggz. Telling me what you've done in the past has nothing to do with what you'll do in the future. Just say you'll do your best to follow the rules in the future without it being in the middle of a paragraph where you continue to defend yourself and accuse me of admin abuse and its done.

For the record since I have been at work all day with no time to read this.

 

I think it is important that no one was banned for a tk, joke or otherwise.

 

Much of the conversation between Nuggz and me... and a little bit with Raw, was over the voice com. So no official record of what was said.

 

Raw was not the only one concerned with this and not letting it go. If anyone was keeping it going on the server it was me and my talking with nuggz. For my part in that I am sorry. ZD, I can see how in your view there was nothing going on for a few minutes and it seemed like it was resolved. But there was alot going on in m_say and voice com that you were not privy too. I think you are missing key points to the story and your point of view is skewed.

 

I was talking to Nuggz about how the group of folks (yes I named Tookey, Norg, and Limb) is beyond what we allow on the server. I recall saying that it really ticks me off to see folks constantly push or break our server rules because no one will do anything about it. Yes not big rules like constant cursing, porn, racism, hacks, etc, but (in my mind) important rules. I recall saying that I would have banned them any number of times already for stuff they have pulled. I recall saying that having to mute 2-3 players everytime I come in the server so I don't have to listen to childish noises spammed into the mik constantly every round is a pain in the rear. Does that mean I do not enjoy playing with them most of the time? No. If you all hate me for that I am sorry, but it is the way I feel. I do not have anything against any of you personally. If you took offense to it and want to hold a grudge on it, I can live with that, although it was not my intention.

 

In my mind this is not an isolated incident. If it had been, nothing would have come of it. I mean seriously how many times has someone on the server had to say "you know better than to do that, [insert name here]" over the past few weeks?

 

Now yes all of you folks involved are very, very good players. But before you go all 'stop playa hatin' on this, perhaps you should consider that there are a great many other players on the server that are near as good, as good, or (gasp) better than you (definitely not me anywhere near) that NEVER end up over and over on the banned forums. Before you blame admins and assorted hangers on, you should at least entertain the thought that it may just be the way you are acting. How many other players do you see on the server (regardless of skill) that constantly have to be asked to follow server rules that they are perfectly aware of?

 

I have said and I will say again, I really enjoy it when a couple of very good players are on the server. It teaches me alot and can make for some very good rounds.

 

Now from the beginning I have stated that banning someone for intentional TK's as a joke is very harsh (even though I think a random pubber would have been with no hesitation). I completely get that you are goofing off. But where is the line drawn?? Regulars can do what they want once a day but only if they honestly meant no harm? Everyone can kill a few hosties or team mates intentionally every day? Can I just choose to break rules when I want if I only mean to have fun? Does some random pubber that comes in and sees regulars acting that way have any incentive or belief that they can not act that way? Stuff that is harmless if done very rarely usually becomes very destructive if everyone does it. The rules are there for everyone. So you do not think occasionally intentionally tking, hostie killin', insulting other players, and mik spamming are not important rules. I say those are the rules that have to be enforced to keep the server the way I thought it was supposed to be. Whether you mean any harm from them or not.

 

I am disappointed that essentially the same crap additude of "screw your rules, you won't do anything about it" has won out here and both are unbanned. Lets just say phil3097 steamID 2882828282828 came in with these unban posts, would they be back on the server? Really? I think that now people know they can get away with it things are not going to change. I am glad both of you are going to be able to play on the server, I really do enjoy it most of the time.

 

Perhaps I am making a big deal of this and everyone else is ok with this, and thinks it is better for the server. If that is the way it is I am fine with that. I would just expect the same standards to be held for everyone. But only if every time it is done it is just a joke.
