Guest ZDamage March 14, 2003 Share Guest ZDamage Guests March 14, 2003 i'd just like to say ZD will never be persuaded in any topic b/c he will never approach it with an open mind and accept what we say, instead the replies will be taken, twisted, then fed back to you in a sarcastic tone and his own arrogant opinion mixed in. What did I say Talent? I said that rap in it's majority is negative and hateful. Now you should read what I just posted above and tell me that those lyrics are not hateful, ignorant and at times racist. Attacking me doesn't change what the lyrics above state. Guest Talent March 14, 2003 Share Guest Talent Guests March 14, 2003 posting a rational for all those lyrics won't help either, instead you will criticize whoever posts them and say that they are wrong...i am just letting everyone know that you will never concede no matter what. Fatty March 14, 2003 Share Fatty GC Founder March 14, 2003 Actually, what I'm reading is ZD holding strong to an opinion while a "gang" of others takes pops at him. Guest ZDamage March 15, 2003 Share Guest ZDamage Guests March 15, 2003 Not my intention to argue. I am trying to debate this and everyone else wants to attack me rather than counter what I say with logic and their own information. This is happening in a couple of threads and in PM's. NOFX March 15, 2003 Share NOFX Member March 15, 2003 well, this is like the flame forum. I believe most rap is crap. Althought I do like some whiteboy rap like beastie boys. And here comes the racist thing again probably, but see rap nowadays doesnt interest me. The beastie boys dont rap about berotches and 40's, they rap about funky monkeys. Lets start a forum called Punk Rock. So I can hear everyone bash punk music and tell me how dumb I am. Oh, might I about forgot, I do play guitar and know how to play drums, so thats maybe why I dont like rap, because they dont have any of that stuff, they just use synthesizers(can't spell) and I think its alot harder to put stuff together with guitar and drums than a keyboard. huhuh? March 15, 2003 Share huhuh? Member March 15, 2003 Now, I listened to crap that my parents didn't care for when I was growing up, but heck, that was stuff like Iron Maiden and Queensryche, and some occasional senseless MOD and SOD, etc. I can completely admit that there wasn't much value behind the music, besides it's entertainment. Today, the rap we call music is even more worthless. It promotes bad attitudes, violence, sex, hatred, etc. I have the luxury of looking at this from a father's point of view. It's true, you are influenced by what you surround yourself by. Where you go your thoughts and mind travel with you. All you guys that are defending rap...explain what the value is. Explain what it does for you. Tell me something positive about it. Tell me something that it does for society, heck, that's even too large of a question, tell me something that it does for anyone on a personal level, besides make them visualize sex, drugs, and violence. you have to remeber that back when you were growing up (around the jazz revolution right?) that your parents thought that the music then promoted drugs, sex, and the devil.......dye snyder anyone?......music is a form of rebellion....the more your parents hate the music u listen to the better finding ones self is a part of growing up and becoming an adult...and rebellion is part of that thats the value of rap....plus what else can make your car bump when u pay 1500$ for your system...country backstreet boys cmon (new smiliy!! )
DJ Premier March 15, 2003 Share DJ Premier Member March 15, 2003 Actually, what I'm reading is ZD holding strong to an opinion while a "gang" of others takes pops at him. I don't like any of you more than the next guy, I'm being completely unbiased here. I'll reread but it looks like ZD is arguing, while the other side is flaming. I dont think ZD will ever get a fair shot because he is, from what I've seen, widely disliked and mostly viewed as a radical. (If you want facts to support my opinion, i'll take a survey) But the purpose of these "discussions" is almost pointless. For example, if I say that it is too hot today and you disagree, how would you ever convince me that it isn't hot? Vice versa. Threads like these just create nasty arguments, therefore, breed hate. I'm not saying that these threads should go away, I'm saying that you either let ppl argue and have it turn out like this every time and just live with it or just remove the forum altogether. Either answer is fine, its your forums, but anything in between would only give off the wrong message in that you are requesting something that is almost impossible. Guest [DOH]TaPe March 16, 2003 Share Guest [DOH]TaPe Guests March 16, 2003 Pardon the language... Sing For The Moment Verse 1 These ideas are nightmares for white parents, whose worst fear is a child with dyed hair and who likes earrings Like whatever they say has no bearing, it's so scary in a house that allows no swearing to see him walking around with his headphones blaring, alone in his own zone, cold and he don't care He's a problem child, and what bothers him all comes out, when he talks about, his truckin' dad walkin' out cuz he just hates him so bad that he blocks him out. If he ever saw him again he'd probably knock him out His thoughts are wacked, he's mad so he's talkin' back, talkin' black, brainwashed from rock and rap He sags his pants, do-rags and a stocking cap, his step-father hit him, so he socked him back and broke his nose, his house is a broken home. There's no control, he just let's his emotions go... Chorus C'mon! Sing with me (Sing!) Sing for the year (Sing It) Sing for the laughter sing for the tear (C'mon!) Sing it with me Just for today Maybe tomorrow The good Lord will take you away... Verse 2 Entertainment is changin', intertwinin' with gangstas, in the land of the killers, a sinner's mind is a sanctum unholy, only have one homie, only this gun, lonely cuz don't anyone know me Yet everybody just feels like they can relate, I guess words are a mothatrucka they can be great or they can degrate, or even worse they can teach hate It's like these kids hang on every single statement we make, like they worship us plus all the stores ship us platinum, now how the truck did this metamorphosis happen? From standin' on corners and porches just rappin'; to havin' a fortune, no more kissin' donkey But then these critics crucify you, journalists try to burn you, fans turn on you, attorneys all want a turn at you To get they hands on every dime you have, they want you to lose your mind every time you mad So they can try to make you out to look like a loose cannon. Any dispute won't hesitate to produce handguns That's why these prosecutors wanna convict me, strictly just to get me off of these streets quickly But all they kids be listenin' to me religiously, so I'm signin' CDs while police fingerprint me They're for the judge's daughter but his grudge is against me. If I'm such a truckin' menace, this poop doesn't make sense B It's all political, if my music is literal, and I'm a criminal how the truck can I raise a little girl? I couldn't. I wouldn't be fit to. You're full of poop too, Guerrera, that was a fist that hit you! Chorus Verse 3 They say music can alter moods and talk to you, well can it load a gun up for you , and rooster it too? Well if it can, then the next time you assault a dude, just tell the judge it was my fault and I'll get sued See what these kids do is hear about us totin' pistols and they want to get one cuz they think the poop's cool not knowin' we really just protectin' ourselves, we entertainers, of course the poop's affectin' our sales, you ignoramus But music is reflection of self, we just explain it, and then we get our checks in the mail. It's trucked up ain't it? How we can come from practically nothing to being able to have any truckin' thing that we wanted That's why we sing for these kids, who don't have a thing except for a dream, and a truckin' rap magazine who post pin-up pictures on they walls all day long, idolize they favorite rappers and know all they songs Or for anyone who's ever been through poop in their lives, till they sit and they cry at night wishin' they'd die Till they throw on a rap record and they sit, and they vibe. We're nothin' to you but we're the truckin' poop in they eyes that's why we seize the moment try to freeze it and own it, squeeze it and hold it, cuz we consider these minutes golden and maybe they'll admit it when we're gone. Just let our spirits live on, through our lyrics that you hear in our songs and we can... Chorus X2

But then i see my baby Suddenly i'm not crazy It all makes sense when i look into her eyes Chorus Somtimes it feels like the world's on my shoulders Everyone's leaning on me Cos sometimes it feels like the world's almost over But then she come back to me Verse #2 Sung My baby girl (hailey laughs) keeps gettin' older I watch her grow up with pride People make jokes, cos they don't understand me They just dont see my real side I act like poop, dont phase me, Inside it drives me crazy My insecurities could eat me alive But then i see my baby Suddenly i'm not crazy It all makes sense when i look into her eyes Chorus Verse #3 Rapped Yeh and if i could sing, i'd keep singing this song to my daughter If i could hit the notes, i'd blow something as long as my father To show her how i feel about her, how proud i am that i got 'er God, im a daddy, im so glad that her mum didn't *censored* (want her) Now you prob'ly get this picture from my public persona That i'm a pistol-packing drug-addict who bags on his momma, But i wanna just take this time out to be perfectly honest Cos there's a lot of poop i keep bottled that hurts deep inside o' ma soul, And just know that i grow colder the older i grow This boulder on my shoulder that gets heavy and harder to hold And this load is like the weight of the world And i think my neck is breaking should i just give up Or try to live up to these expectations? now look, I love my daughter more than life in itself, But i got a wife who's determined to make my life living hell But i handle it well, given the circumstances i'm dealt So many chances, man, it's too bad, coulda had someone else But the years that i've wasted are nothing to the tears that ive tasted So here's what im facin: 3 felonies, 6 years of probation I've went to jail for this woman, i've been to bat for this woman I've taken bats to people' backs, bent over backwards for this woman Man, i shoulda seen it comin, why'd i stick my penis uppin? Woulda ripped the pre-nup if i'd seen what she was truckin But truck it, it's over, there's no more reason to cry no more I got my baby, maybe the only lady that i adore, haley So sayonara, try tomorra, nice to know ya My baby's travelled back to the arms of her rightful owner And suddenly it seems that my shoulder blades have just shifted Its like the greatest gift you can get The weight has been lifted Chorus Outro - Spoken Woow! I told you, i can't sing. Oh well, i tried Haley, remember when i said If you ever need anything, daddy will be right there? Well guess what, daddy's here. And i ain't goin nowhere baby I love you (kiss)

I know you got my last two letters, I wrote the addresses on 'em perfect. So this is my cassette I'm sending you. I hope you hear it I'm in the car right now, I'm doing 90 on the freeway Hey Slim, "I drank a fifth of vodka, ya dare me to drive?" You know that song by Phil Collins from "The Air In The Night"? About that guy who could have saved that other guy from drowning? But didn't? Then Phil saw it all then at his show he found him? That's kinda how this is You could have rescued me from drowning Now it's too late I'm on a thousand downers now, I'm drowsy And all I wanted was a lousy letter or a call I hope you know I ripped all o' your pictures off the wall I love you Slim, we could have been together Think about it You ruined it now, I hope you can't sleep and you dream about it And when you dream, I hope you can't sleep and you scream about it I hope your conscious eats at you and you can't breathe without me See Slim, shut up witch, I'm try-na talk Hey Slim, that's my girlfriend screaming in the trunk But I didn't slit her throat, I just tied her up, see I ain't like you 'Cause if she suffocates, she'll suffer more, and then she'll die too Well, gotta go, I'm almost at the bridge now Oh poop, I forgot, how am I supposed to send this poop out? [Eminem] Dear Stan, I meant to write you sooner, but I've just been busy You said your girlfriend's pregnant now, how far along is she? Look, I'm really flattered you would call your daughter that And here's an autograph for your brother I wrote it on a Starter cap I'm sorry I didn't see you at the show, I must have missed you Don't think I did that poop intentionally, just to diss you But what's the poop you said about you like to cut your wrists too? I say that poop just clownin' dawg, come on, how trucked up is you? You got some issues, Stan, I think you need some counselin' To help your donkey from bouncin' off the walls when you get down some And what's this poop about us meant to be together? That type of poop'll make me not want us to meet each other. I really think you and your girlfriend need each other Or maybe you just need to treat her better I hope you get to read this letter I just hope it reaches you in time Before you hurt yourself I think that you'd be doin' just fine If you'd relax a little I'm glad that I inspire you, but Stan Why are you so mad? Try to understand that I do want you as a fan I just don't want you to do some crazy poop I seen this one poop on the news a couple weeks ago that made me sick Some dude was drunk and drove his car over a bridge And had his girlfriend in the trunk and she was pregnant with his kid And in the car they found a tape but it didn't say who it was to Come to think about it, his name was, it was you Damn
