Playaa August 27, 2008 Share Playaa Member August 27, 2008 He doesn't game. He needs something easily portable. Probably doesn't want less than a 15.4" monitor though. He'll mainly use it for school work, myspace (bleh) and watching dvds. give me links! Go!

General J August 28, 2008 Share General J Member August 28, 2008 Here! From everything I have heard of Vista (have a laptop on order that has it, but I have never used it personally) he might want to either upgrade it to 2 gb ram, or dump vista for xp. He might also be able to do some light gaming on the integrated video. My bro-in-laws sony vaio has the intel 945 chipset, and he runs GTA San Andreas, hardly any eye candy, but it does run it pretty well.
Cujo August 28, 2008 Share Cujo Member August 28, 2008 you'll definitely want 2gb for vista. i would just get a used/refurbed unit.
