There are two other possible scenarios. One, she isn't going to sell it and somehow write it off her taxes instead of selling it. Two, the most likely scenario, Shaft was the only person who wanted to buy the ticket for $50 and out of principal Dragonfire decided she would eat the $50 cost of the ticket as opposed to let shaft get the ticket.
