Soooo I am fully booked for my trip to Vegas from May 28th until the 1st. I am staying in a 2br suite at Planet Hollywood Towers

Any places I have to go to in order to make it a great trip?

Any casinos that are better than others in terms of lower limits or being more fun?

Basically what have you done there that I cant miss? Any attractions better than others?

I was there for a quick 2 day trip 5 years ago but didnt go outside the 2 casinos around me too much.

I know there are some people here that are from Vegas, or have been there multiple times.

Great Cheap Breakfast is at Ellis Island (its in a small hotel a block behind Imperial - I think)

Midnight-5am Cheap Steak and Eggs at Bills Gambling Parlor (on a corner near the westin/harrahs?)

*I'm a fat kid at heart, my great time is eating! lol

1.) I know it's out of the way from the main strip, but I really enjoyed the observation deck of the Stratosphere. I went up there with 2 friends just before sundown and we got some great pictures of Vegas. Not to mention, the deck is outdoors so feeling the wind at a high elevation I found relaxing.

2.) On the strip, of course go to the Bellagio for a free outdoors dancing water show equipped with music. This is a MUST SEE in my opinion.

3.) In-N-Out Burger. This fast food joint is off the strip, but only a 5min drive if you're near the Luxor side of the strip. In-N-Out is one of my favorite fast food chains in America, and they don't even have them near me in Chicago! This is how fast food should be.

4.) The Treasure Island show is also free and outdoors of the main TI hotel. It's so-so and can become quite crowded, so I suggest getting their a little early if you plan on seeing that.

5.) Penn & Teller. If you've never seen them live before, here's your chance. They put on a great show mixed with comedy and magic at the Rio. They also sign autographs for free after their shows.

Basically, just stay on the main strip and you'll have a great time in pretty much any of those major casinos. They all are pretty cool and unique in their own respect. My first night in Vegas, I walked into every hotel off the main strip and I probably liked the interior of the Wynn the most. Don't bother going off the strip or into "Old Vegas" aka Freemont Street. Those areas are quite dirty.

There's an Elvis and Beatles show in Vegas I wish was showing in Miami. I'm sure the tickets for Cirque is more expensive up in Vegas >_< but it's so over the top awesome.

Mmm you can drink them all day for free while you play penny slots at the venitian or many of the other casinos

I have been told by some people that the days of getting free drinks/meals are pretty much over unless you're sitting at the high roller's table. Please tell me they're wrong!

Meals they may be right, but not drinks. You can get drinks for free at any table. The rule (last time I was there) is you can only order 2 drinks per person, so if you want a shot and a beer thats it. You can basically get anything as long as you tip them every time or atleast every other.

I dont play slots so I couldnt tell you if the whole penny slots idea will work.

Last year in Vegas I lost $250 in Mandalay Bay on a game of roulette. I bet Black and it freaking landed on Green. Not Red..... Green....

atleast you only lost half..

Oh no. I lost all of it. I placed everything on black, haha. I'm just saying, the odds of hitting Green are so small that I would have been less angry if it had landed on Red instead. Oh well, can't win 'em all!

Hitting green when you bet red/black always pays 1:2.. sounds like you got so mad that it hit green you walked away from the table.. and left $125!

Don't beat yourself up.. i did a little 'research' over the weekend.. apparently paying 1:2 for hitting green on a colored bet varies per casino

I see. Either way, the dealer took all the money and shook his head at me, haha. :freak:
