Upcoming purchase - Advice please

ReNNeN

Recommended Posts

In the process of building a new system. I have an Intel Quad Core and MoBo now. Planning on running 16GB DDR3.

Which Video Card would you choose?

-Radeon HD 6970 -or-

-Nvidia GTX 570

I am trying not to spend more than $400 on a card. Your opinions are appreciated. If you have a card in mind that is similar in performance, please post it.

Thanks.

Didn't I just make one of these threads? lol

I'm going with ATI. They have a better performance to dollar ratio.

I really don't see a clear winner between these 2 cards. Looks like they swap punches with the benchmarks, ATI slightly beating Nvidia in some games, and Nvidia besting ATI in others.

They are pretty much the same price too? Why is the ATI 6970 better per dollar?

Don't support the ATI/AMD monopoly! It's teh evils!

if you want to make a rebuke to what i said on the other thread; go ahead. don't go around mocking what i type when you had nothing to contribute to that conversation anyways.

lol, i apologize. I tend to have very strong beliefs about certain topics and I've noticed i express them rather loudly and insensitively. gotta work on that...
