I'm not a huge electronic music fan but how could anyone hate Daft Punk, they are rock stars.

I liked their music in Tron Legacy, but that's because it wasn't really the focus. I don't think it's something I could ever just listen too on my MP3 player.

 

I think their music is fine as background noise. Maybe on a futuristic racing game?

have you heard RAM? I love it. I think they are phenomenal artists and they are pretty much the fathers of modern electronic. I listen to a lot of EDM and DP blows it out of the water

While RAM is an ok album, I still prefer the older stuff they did. RAM is too slow paced for my liking. Also, while being a Daft Punk fan, sometimes lyrics in their songs get too repetitive. I'd rather just listen to the music.

It's all about the editing, they're not particular geniuses with lyrics (not their lyrics are awful). E.g. Crescendolls, is a song with a six second loops repeated and shot all over the place. Also yeah politics aside, Obama seems like the coolest and most genuine person we've had as a president for a long time.
