DJ Premier September 10, 2003 Share DJ Premier Member September 10, 2003 What's the big deal? I think its kinda cool. What about it don't you like? An upgrade from the current version to the next is inevitable. It's going to happen all the time so we adjust and move on. I still think 1.3 was the best version but it didn't mean I didn't play 1.4 and 1.5. Same thing applies for 1.6. I also think the steam network is convenient and will be better for the game. chuckleslove September 10, 2003 Share chuckleslove Member September 10, 2003 My only complaint is that now you wont be able to play old versions. Pre steam you could run any version of CS on your server and as long as clients ran the same they could connect. Killing that is a bad move =\
Fatty September 10, 2003 Share Fatty GC Founder September 10, 2003 I hope 10,000 people quit playing CS because of this. Of course the majority of our community wouldn't make this list of mine. People will whine and cry, and 6 months from now we'll all still be here.

Killer September 10, 2003 Share Killer Member September 10, 2003 signing that petition isnt going to do ANYTHING, ever beat me to it. 5000 people, you think that matters? Theirs prolly 5000+ people in this state who play CS who dont care, and just wanna play CS for the fun and enjoyment, then throw in a few more whiners and complainers like yourself. It will do nothing.
[Mmmm]Homer September 11, 2003 Share [Mmmm]Homer Member September 11, 2003 Those that have been around in the CS community have heard it all before: <new release soon> "It'll ruin CS!" "I'm gonna quit CS!" <release comes out> "Previous release was better!" "I hate the new hitbox" <time passes> "I love CS!" Same every time. linch September 11, 2003 Share linch Member September 11, 2003 Once a major software project is in past half way of production, there is no way they would back out (blow millions) for the sack of 5,000 or even 50,000 people. Adding some changes to CS will be great, and we will adapt or move on....just like all the previous versions of CS.
