    I agree that the KDE environment is more familliar to the windows user. Only used gnome a tiny bit as I tended to stick to KDE when trying out live distros.

    Rgr Tht Not always, but often enough that I normally go it alone with henchies and heros. :/ Did get a great PuG a while ago and got through several Fire Island missions very well.

    Ooh, thanks I'll try the hal fix from ZD's link, and if that doesn't work, I'll see if the comp has SATA ports (could be a problem as this one's a little bit older system) and do the install/copy method or repair tool. Thanks for the help.
