mid 1.3 on my old 56k... I could only play on Alpha... and on Delta only if there were fewer than 6 people playing. Once teh 7th connected, my ping rose above 400 and I was kicked. Man that was back in late 2000 I think. I'm still working on it Jackie... don't worry your kung fu self I've heard (and thats it, haven't seen anything yet) that there may be a patch out soon with more maps. I had a good turkey day : ) Woke up around 9:00 threw somethigns together and headed out the door. Stopped by Chief's place to see his mom and sister and wish them a a happy Thanksgiving, and Chief a Happy Birthday! and they gave me a biscuit and some bacon thats a good start to a day IMO Drove home to Danville, IL aka D-Vegas for a dinner with my parents and my younger brother. Great food as always, a mixed schmorgiz-bord of food. funny this topic should come up... my friend Susan came over on Saturday and we baked none other than sugar Peanut Butter Cookies... except we didn't mash them down enough and we ended up with one GIANT cookie the size fo my Pizza pan now thats a good cookie But my favorite... other than the Carmel Delights and the thin mints by the Girl scouts are peanutbutter chocolate chip/hershey's kiss. doesn't matrter to me which one, so long as it has chocolate.... but my everyday cookie: Oreo or Chips Ahoy (which ever is on sale)with a short glass of milk

Hven't posted in this forum for awhile... but here we go... are we talking 1) "What if God never existed... and we knew this from the get go?" or 2) "I wake up tomorrow with complete conciousness and all-knowing, and I leanr that God(as I know him) does not exist." 1) Yes I know for a fact that I would be a differnet person, having spent my entire life raised Catholic and brought up on morals based on the teachings of Jesus, who is the Son of God.... this could lead to a secondary question 1a) God doesn't exist but Jesus still performs the miracles he did... I'm not prepared to answer that one just yet... but yes, if God never existed... then the morals and the lifestyle that I have led for teh past 25 years (I'm 25) also would never have existed. 2) No I wouldn't change, at least not right away.... all I can say is perhaps I might in time. Am I the only one that knows? What if we/I were the only one's that knew this for fact... what would you do.... would you denounce all religions... would you "Go Public" so to speak? I would probably shut myself up in a room somewhere for a very long time and reevaluate my life... the time that I had left the the time that I had spent... then I would continue on the path that I've all ready chosen. And I'd keep my mouth shut until someone asked me if I knew or what I thought. I feel that living by the one rule "Do unto others as you would have done unto you." is the only way to treat people... its a wonderful philosophy of life that I hope I can embrace for the rest of mine.

Came up with this idea when bored outta my mind in some of the worst traffic all year... (accidents on the Kennedy at rush hour suck) ...so i'm thinking as I type... Ok... I'm imagining a WD style layout. Perhaps upto 4 maybe 5 teams.... American, German, Russian(x2), and Great Britain. I don't know all the maps that are available yet, but I propose we draw teams out of a hat (ie: DOH=Russian, DLM= American, Mmmm=Great Britian, and possibly a ragtag patch of non affiliated players get thrown in as those crazy Germans) In reality, there would only be two teams allies vs axis... but it would be concerted effort against a common foe. I can't think of all the maps right now... but we could do a combination of SD, RE, and DM maps (maybe start with RE maps, if allies win, their next goal is to destroy the target, if they successfully destroy target, they claim the area... if theres a tie, then onto the DM): Brecourt = southern france or germany (America vs Germany) Dawnville = also france (perhaps we'll need someone with a knowledge of French geography to draw up the map) (america vs Germany) Pavlov = Russia (Russians vs Germany, but this one Germany is on offensive...) I believe there's a Concentration Camp one... but I don't remember the teams (Germany vs someone...) I know there's a villa... (GB vs Germany) hurtgen = Russian (Russia vs Germany) Trainyard (Germany vs GB) now that I think a little more there could be two german teams... one to defend western front, and one to attack the eastern front. what do you guys think
