Anyway back on topic. We do really need to try and keep the pub server going. Jibba's post was 100% win, and accurate. We need it to keep new players coming into the community. Some stats might help, we should look into those somehow. Keeps a pub feeling competitive, which is why people are drawn to CMM in the first place. We used to have them in CS:S, why not now? People who play with me currently know I don't usually log on until at least 11pm eastern (due to work), and usually end up doing CMM, but this is ONLY because everyone else is. If I joined at night and all of my GC friends were in the pub, I would hop in there in a heart beat. Problem is it's always 0/0 players around that time. We just have to try and take initiative to start it up. Sometimes I do join the server at night when it's 0/0. Most of the time i can get it at around 3v3 but never any higher, so I've kinda given up. That time of night isn't great for filling a server, but keeping it full from an earlier start would be more possible with some of your guys help.

Woot, still not quite the 50 that I think we had in 2010 but 32 people will still be a great time. Plus there's still more time for more to join. Also some of the people organizing it like Fatty aren't even on the seat roster. So like FK said, most likely gonna be about 40 people I think.

Well I bought a LG Bluray player last black friday for $40.(It's done surprisingly well for the price) It has a USB port that has worked fine with my old smartphone and a flash drive so I think hooking up a regular external HDD should prolly work too. But not totally sure.

Hey there! Also I recently started watching all of the X-Files episodes on Netflix. Currently on season 2 Episode 16? i think. Theres like 204 episodes so I got a ways go to, but I'm loving it. And thanks for ruining The Lone Gunmen for me VooDoo!!!

Yeah I mean we had a CS:S tournament in 2010, however I felt the whole weekend experience was more about just chilling, drinking, playing poker/boardgames/dice/card games and just hanging with people I've never met before. Also you can join internet servers if I remember correctly, it may just be a little laggier or have higher ping than from your house.

Well the vast majority of people who did play in the pub all do the matchmaking. Unless you can force us to stop doing that and join the pub, not sure what we can do. Right now GC is more heavily dominated by L4D2 players than the CS players that this group once had.

Sad but true. People enjoy the 5v5 more than pubbing with like 20 random people who can barely ever work together as a team.

Maybe I need to give it another shot. I was actually only half listening to it while i was at work. We will see how I feel after I hear most of it again.

I downloaded Daft Punk's Random Access Memories and honestly it was a huge let down to me. Almost the entire album is slow paced, which I know some of their songs have been in the past, but I'm more of a fan of the faster harder stuff, such as Brainwasher. I can understand half the album being slow, and half fast but not the whole thing. I love Daft Punk, and the album made me sad.
