  1. Arctic Cooling Freezer 64. I would post a link but my firefox won't let me make one so you should just google "arctic cooling freezer 64." The cooler is around $25 - $30 in price.
  2. My overclocked 4200+ is still cutting it for me. I have a feeling other then the whole "you have to have one specific core volt chip" that there is going to be some long term stability issues.

  4. Heheh...accidentally is the only way something like that would happen ZD. Now if I only needed a 4ghz processor.
  5. I wanna screw around with you guys for a while tonight after I get home from work. Is it cool if I practice with you tonight?
  6. I like how SQL is too complicated but learning computer hacking is a walk in the park.
  7. Hehheeh...I thought the "please" was assumed. There was at least a thanks! I just missed one half of the magic words.
  8. "This is bound to cause lamentation among the elite circle of users who've invested big bucks in their high-end systems, if not outright wailing and rending of garments." They were talking about me. I am currently rending my garments.
  9. Intel processors always consume more power. This was true even with the first P4s when AMD was with Socket 462. Intel boards needed the "P4 12v 4pin" power connector and AMDs didn't. Now it is moving to an 8 pin power connector instead of the 4.
  10. Forgive me if I'm wrong but isn't this conversation just going around in circles? Last I read this thread you had already decided on an AMD processor and one of the many Asus motherboards. How much total money do you have to spend on this computer when all is said and done? Brand loyalty in the computer industry now is something that is going to get you into trouble. AMD is ruling the market right now because their processors are better well designed and more stable. The Conroe and Yonah cores are going to be something that could likely change that. With that being said, if you are hardcore Intel no one is going to change your mind about that even if we don't necessarily agree with you about it. So you might just want to wait for a Conroe processor to get released and buy that.
  11. If you have like $75 to spend Sid check out the Logitech G7.
  12. Ubuntu seems to be the current "user friendliest" version. Ubuntu is a pretty easy version to use in my opinion. When I decided I wanted to mess around with Linux I installed Slackware. My thinking behind this was that if I pixed the most ridiculous distro it would just whip me into shape for Linux. I did learn a little bit but it did mostly kick my butt.
  13. Yeah I'm with him on this one. My brain is fried right now so give some links!
  14. Hehehhe....BUT THE BRAGGING RIGHTS! I bought mine because of stability with the "8 Phase Power" and I eventually plan to add a second 7900GTX 512 to it for SLI and the true x16 will be nice. Like I said though, the a8n-sli premium is a rock solid amazing board.
  15. I don't have mine setup like that but I was interested in learning about it to so if you find anything out let me know.
  16. PC Gaming is still going to be the more expensive hobby. RTS is Real Time Strategy, games like Warcraft and Starcraft and Empire Earth. The consoles are becoming less like seperate gaming machines and more like computers every day. It is now basically a media center pc that also plays game awesomely. The RSX video chip in the PS3 is pretty cool and the Cell processor is nothing short of amazing. For that amount of money thought you could buy a decent computer that you could play games on AND do work on. Nothing about the Living Room entertainment market as I will call it is customizable. The option to add a larger hard drive is not that much of a customization. You can't change video cards, motherboards, processors, or memory. Upgrading is a huge factor too. Look at the PS2 for instance. FIVE YEARS OLD! In two years when the games look like crap on my 7900GTX 512MB I will buy a second one and put it in SLI. When your PS3 looks like crap in 2 years...oh well.
  17. i don't even know where to start looking for an accurate picture for this. but maybe my web browser is broken. i don't see nuke listed above as an option. HAHAHAHAHHAH. Juan, you make my work day so much brighter!
  18. I am seriously freaked out. You two are scary. I have an idea about this map thing. How about nuke. Put nuke in the rotation.
  19. Hehehehe. Like I said, there really isn't too much of a huge difference between the Premium and the 32Deluxe except the cost and the bragging rights.
  20. Your phone will probably play .mp3 files cause I know my RAZR will play native mp3. You probably just need to get a transflash to SD card adapter and a reader to put it into your computer. This is all from the hardware point of view of course and not too much about the software.
