good post, but I wouldn't ever suggest paying off your student loan ahead of schedule. You are better off saving the money and maintaining some liquidity, while paying your monthly balance. Student loan interest rates are ridiculously cheap.. and it also helps you establish credit. other then that, congrats.. It's got to be a great feeling for you.
  9. yeah.. maybe an ipod dock but what's on my ipod is on my pc..
  10. Now that I'm not longer in a shoebox of an apartment, i find myself wanting to be able to listen to music, videos, books on tape, etc. without the headphones.. but i haven't had a set of speakers in years. Not looking to break the bank on these ($100-200 budget) suggestions?
  11. if it comes down to it.. just re-purchase the book and fight the charges

  15. For the most part.. they are reliable and fun to drive.. however if you run into one that starts having alot of issues they can be costly to repair (parts). I had a stick 900 s Turbo (Early 90s) in high school that was a blast. I've yet to find a car that much fun to drive.. put about 20k miles on it from 150-170k and never had any problems with it. I also had a 2002 9-3 for a couple years.. never any problems, but sold it while it was still under warranty.
  16. I'd like to avoid having to do any type of conversion from another app as alot of my reports and excel models are very templated

    sooo...

I'll be out this summer if I don't play another season.. def next year How far is the drive from chi?
  22. How far of a commute will you have? After being in your shoes a couple years ago, I would advise against buying or leasing anything where you are going to commit yourself to $300+ car payment for the next 3-5 years. Unless you have a killer commute or need an extremely reliable vehicle, I'd recommend finding something for 4-6k that will get you through the next couple of years... so your payments, AND insurance will be affordable. Considering you're also going to be moving into your ownplace, the expenses are really going to add up.. In a couple years your salary will have increased and you'll have saved some $ that you can put down on a new car / slightly used car that you will really appreciate and own for > 5 years.
