I agree with all of that, but first I would recommend the motorcycle safety coarse provided in your state. These can teach you the basics of riding safely, and at least in ohio they provide the bike so you don't scar up your own. Always know the limits of your bike, then stay around 80-90% of them so you have that added buffer should something unexpected happen. HIGHLY RECOMMEND FOR NEW RIDERS - Don't learn to ride from a friend. People that have been riding a while form bad habits and you don't want to learn those. You'll have enough time to develop bad habits on your own. No question about helmet usage. Everybody should wear safety gear (helmet, proper riding jacket, pants, boots, gloves). You don't get a second chance to fall, so be ready. Mr. Asphalt is not very kind to soft tissue. no. everywhere i ride, it's going to be in board shorts, flip flops, and nothing else. j/k - i'm kind of amazed people ride without em. i did get a nice laugh from the db wearing reinforced riding gloves, a short sleeve shirt, and shorts. why bother with the gloves? He had his nails manicured that day?

Thanks John. Right... My gas bill used to be about $600~$700 a month. Since I started riding this, it's been about $100 in two weeks. I did explain the "gas benefit" and she said something like. "%@ #^@% since when did you worry about gas prices? Is that why you got the 11mpg monster 6 month ago?" (referring to my Denali) Someone shoot me... hee hee no pun intended. Like the previous posts... signal/reception capabilities are very similar. The real difference is the software and the map. I've had the Nuvi 350 for a few years and I like the interface. It's in the details that make the difference. For example, the Nuvi will tell you whether your destination is on the right or left side of the street. Most GPS will not tell you that (my Mercedes and GM navigations don't). Most GPS will tell you "destination ahead" or "you have arrived at your destination"... The Nuvi will tell you "destination ahead on left(or right). This is very helpful when you're looking for something in a busy street. Imagine coming up near your destination and having to look for the address (odd or even) to figure out which side it's on. Not a big deal for some, but it's definitely takes a lot of rubber necking to find a "reference" address. This could be the difference between being on the correct lane on a multi lane street (3 or 4). btw... many GPS come with Bluetooth hands free capabilities and it's a big plus if you don't have one already. it will also dial searched businesses on the GPS. My 2 pennies.

I will explain to you why. Shoot thought that Bub was possibly drunk and that was the reason his right eye was closed more than his left. He mentioned this fact as a sort of joke. It turns out that Bub has an existing injury that causes that eye to close a little more than the other one. This was a moderately awkward social situation. A "social blunder" if you will, also known as a "faux pas". I, in my eternel humor decided to take shoots awkward misstep and make it a joke and therefore declared that he had made a "faux paux". Peckles then proceeded to point out the fact that I had misspelled "faux pas" in my attempt at humor in a round about way, declaring "faux what?". This itself could be construed as a faux pas and therefore is ironic. I declared it as such. We all had a laugh at my expense. You proceeded to step in and declare that I had misspelled "faux pas" in a very direct way, something that everyone else in the thread already understood was pointed out in a humorous way. We all now feel awkward because of your direct explanation. I apologize to everyone for your actions. p.s. -> This post was an attempt at humor by vastly overexplaining the situation as it occurred.
