Ack, This wasn't the guy I banned for 2 hours. I banned ipop for TK'ing someone after they defused the bomb. It might have been an accident so I only did 2 hours. Sleepy was still on the server when I logged for the night.

I think its a good idea for matches and more organized play. For a pub, though, it just seems like a distraction and spam.

If possible, I'd love to have a spray made kwix. 1. Raw-C 2. Blue and White 3. A scope or Crosshairs or something like that Thanks a bunch!

Angael, in the future, these kind of threads should be posted under the server forum in the Ban Request thread. Also, try not to threaten action if you don't have the authority to do it yourself. It tends to make the situation worse. Thanks for posting up though, its appreciated.

dunno, but maybe it's because most of the admins boot anyone trying to turn good old cs:s into the love boat. .gc is an equal-opportunity-server. got game? gender is irrelevant. Wholeheartedly agree with John on this. It really bugs me when people get all stupid when they find out a female is playing. Just play the damn game, it'll be ok. Go outside if you really want female interaction, theres a lot more of them out there and who knows.... one of them might actually like you!

I'd go to this. I'm in Mountain View like aMnesiac said, so when/wherever is good for me. At least this way I could just yell at you all when I get owned repeatedly

For me personally, the map rotation causes me pain. I know we as admins can change it and are encouraged to do so... but just seeing the same 5 or 6 maps up all the time makes me cringe. The increcibly bad moments of lag aren't helping, but I haven't seen anybody leave the server because of them explicitly (except when they get kicked for high ping) Usually lasts between 1-2 minutes.

Ok, we all know PTBx has its issues, but it does try to keep teams even. The biggest benefit that I see is the number balancing as the skill balancing can be whacky at its best times. That being said, what is the general consensus about this? For myself, I'm pretty hesitant to forcebly swap people since I don't want them to get bitter at being switched or potentially making the situation worse. Because of that, I tend to ask people to help balance the teams and sometimes get no help at all unless PTBx randomly kicks in. Even with all its issues, I think it overall is a plus... but I'm only barely standing on that side of the line. Especially since it seems like membership and admins are growing, making the server populations more apt to balance the teams without outside interference from an addon.

Hey John, I'm not sure whats been going on. But lately when I've switched the map to villa, it seems like nobody new is able to join in. One time this happened and we swapped maps cuz the server was basically empty, one of the guys rejoined and said that he got an "map not found" error and couldn't d/l it from the server. Are we sure all those maps are on the d/l server right now?

If we can get enough to fill out the teams with gc, then I'd love to use private parts since it'd just be easier. If the interest isn't high enough, we were going to see about bringing the pub regs into it if they wanted. And if that ended up being the case, I wasn't sure if non gc were allowed on private parts. Anyway, we've currently only got 9 votes, so I'm guessing 10 or 12 interested so far. If theres anybody else you all can think of that would want to do this, have them drop by this post so we can start hashing out more details and get this thing off the ground.

Hey all, Now that I've got a partner in crime (aMnesiac), we'd like to start trying to get a pickup game going every week or 2. Probably something like 7 on 7 or whatever team size is decided upon. Wanted to see what the general interest level was among the .gc'ers to see if we needed to include the general populace to make this a reality or not. Probably set it up for a weekday. Wednesdays and Fridays aren't the best for us so we wanted your guys' opinions on which day if you'd like to attend. Team captains would be selected a few days in advance based on signups and volunteers. They would select their teams from the list of signups. The map will be announced at the same time the captains are chosen. 30 rounds will be played, 15 on each team. Going to start with just 1 map being played, if this thing takes off and people want to make the match last longer we can figure that out later. Any questions or suggestions, send me or aMnesiac a PM or post in this thread. Thanks!

GJ Stuff like this makes me want to try and get in a clan and get involved with matches/scrims.

Yah, I've been switching people when I see the need. Its more of an issue when I don't realize it right away and suddenly 2 or so rounds have gone by with a really unbalanced team. As far as swapping people mid round, it actually seems to just swap their team. I swapped myself to CT from T one round on italy and suddenly I was a CT in T spawn. Needless to say, this creates some interesting situations so its definately better done when involving dead people.

I definately agree with everything hes saying. Is it all possible to get PTBx on the new servers? I know it has its problems, but its a lot better than repeated rounds of 10 on 7.

Hey, Someone came into West asking for an admin to restart Recrud. Said it was getting pretty bad over there.

I played for a few hours last night. I didn't keep a close eye on choke/in info, but it felt smooth enough for good gameplay. Although, I'm west coast, so I'm not really sure how things are supposed to be with 65ish ping.

Yah and I've experienced getting shot once I run past a door also, and it's not pleasant. hmm, lost me on this one? especially since dsp blocks interp'ing.. ? I think he was agreeing with the idea of running it on the private server to check it out and also saying that getting shot due to someone's tweaked interps sucks.

I'm in! Would definately prefer north. But if it turned out to be south, I'd probably still go.
