Those don't sound like valid reasons for a ban. If you were banned, it was probably for something else. I could not find you under the name "Redwind" on our ban list nor by your ip. As San` says above, give us your steam id and we can look up the ban.

Hi Zed Assuming this is your steamid: STEAM_1:1:71547358 You have been banned 5 times, the last was permanent First four bans (all in 2014) were for four different basic infrations of our rules, team switching, rushing, bad spray and cursing. they all resulted in minor ban times. you went two years without a ban, then purposely killed yourself on no mercy and you were perm banned (2016) Since it has been 2 years and you are sort of apologizing, i will unban you. However, if you demonstrate a similar disregard for our rules as you did in the past, you will be perm-banned again, no matter what the reason is. Please follow the rules and become a part of the community. No Mercy map 1, suicided and left the game

L4D2 is on sale for $1.99 This is good news. For those of us who still enjoy playing this game on our servers, we should always welcome more players. Try to have patience, try to explain rules, buy system and strategies without yelling or being condescending. Please dont yell or type "SPIT AND DIE!" "WHY DID YOU DO THAT?!" "DONT GO THAT WAY" "DONT GO IN THERE" "ASK FOR POINTS!" "BUY A HEAL!" These things do not help, and only chase people away be nice or be quiet Please remind others and let me know if any admins are not being helpful also. This always goes for myself, feel free to tell me if you think I am coming off as sounding annoyed.

I like your idea Jackie. I think 40 is a low amount to buy a tank, but I like this concept. If a weaker infected team is playing, they still might be able to get some individual tanks (1/1 limit) to try to compete against a strong survivor team. If it is more even teams, then the infected team will be smart to buy multiple tanks at once, so will have to up the limit and thus the cost. It also adds another layer of teamwork and strategy to the game. someone who is not buying a tank will have to buy up the limit, just like now someone has to buy up the unannounce. Carlos - I agree, maybe Jackie can look in to that. I didnt used to care so much, but yes it is silly now when low number of players on server and someone can buy a tank.

Low Gravity is easy, we can do that. The other ones would need Jackie or Crash's input I believe

I would be okay with it...though that means 10 times per round survivors can break being pinned. Seems like a significant survivor increase. Maybe we should offset it by increasing the damage from smokers and points they receive (see Merc, I'm trying to help ya).

Thanks Old Boy! It is nice to get a post like this. This is volunteer work, so sometimes it gets tough dealing with the complaints, especially the ridiculous ones. However the members of GC are great. Most of them handle the L4D2 servers and the rules themselves, reminding players not to curse, rush, etc or explaining how to buy things.

I just don't understand, after the warnings, kicks, bans, as well as your recent comments to me about how you do not want any trouble with admins and will not do anything wrong anymore, how would you think this was a good thing to do? Many of us were in the server, it was all members in there. Johnny set up a custom map night, then he and Meng and I went in and tested every map of the campaign, to make sure it was going to work for everyone. We invited everyone in. We are spending our time to try to come up with ways to give members different things to do. The campaign was going fine. Yes Hard Dark is known for getting in trouble in the back sometimes and it was funny for us to all comment on it when he got caught initially in the stairs. But I don't see why you would trap him in there to get in-capped. I know you meant it in fun, but it changes game play. It gives the infected team extra points they don't deserve. It possibly gets another player killed and/or annoyed. There are times when something like this would not be too bad, but this certainly was not the time. Imagine if an admin decided, during a game, to just give one team each 20 points, for no reason, except for his own personal amusement. I would probably remove his admin and ban him for a time. How is this any different? I like you Soda. I just don't understand why this keeps happening. Then your response is that you were just helping harddark die in the back? It just demonstrates how you think everything is a joke and the server is purely for your own amusement at the expense of the other players. Right now, the ban will stand. Contact us in a month with reasons why it should be shortened.

Thanks San I think Soda and Tamatoa helped prove my point. Imagine having to deal with people like that every day? That was how it was when I first started doing this, but with a larger number of them. The majority of the people that play the game on our servers are great. That is the reason I did and still do the work here. Unfortunately we will always have a few people like those two. Just make sure to enforce the rules and do not let them ruin gameplay for everyone else. They have both been banned previously for breaking the rules before and I would imagine it will happen again (since they obviously do not know how to exhibit proper behavior with others). Just remind me to re-read this post, the next time they need to post in the "Banned from any of our servers?" forum.
