In my personal opinion it would idealy be nice to get ahold of the map rotation code to do something like: Force 3/5 options to always be stock maps. Force stock maps on server <16 people. Or other such things.

There is a whole science behind audio, and a whole lot of that is bound by the quality of the equipment you have. At the end of the day something, whether the on-board sound car or USB headset, needs to convert the signal from digital into analog. The benefit of a USB digital to audio converter(DAC) is that the conversion is done away from the signal noise of the motherboard though it doesn't mean that the actual conversion is any good. My journey into sound went: headset, diy non PC card headphone amp, and i am looking into buying a DAC in the near future.

A USB headset does not use the sound card available on the PC, so Marvin's point is not to waste money on a sound card if you aren't going to use it. The number of 'doohicky' jacks is just then number of dedicated channels (2, 2.1, 5.1, 7.1 etc).

IMO, where you get your degree from is almost irrelevant. At most it buys you a litlte bit of 'wow' factor and most importantly a foot in the door. Remember, the laws of physics and math that EE/CS/CE are built upon don't change from university to university so you aren't learning anything different wherever you go. What changes (in theory) is the caliber (and sometimes just the size of the pocketbook) of the students you will share your time with. My alma matter is ranked in a separate category to most schools since it does not offer a PHD. That said it was also #6 in the nation for Computer Engineering. It has bought be some respect for the people that know and respect the school, but it has always been my performance at work that has spoken much more loudly then the university that I went too. I agree that if you really want to understand code you should take some hardware, I would recommend to at least look into a Computer Engineering degree as opposed to a Computer Science degree. And if you end up going to Princeton I would highly recommend you do CS/Business, or at least minor in it as that is the true strength of Princeton. Understanding the business side will also make you a more complete engineer when it comes to understanding why the company wants a certain date/cost range/dumb feature. It will also be a great starting point for getting an MBA later on.

i wouldn't worry too much about cooling the GPU, you have 4 fans in the case that will basically be dedicated to extracting the GPU heat since you are moving the heat from the CPU to outside the case. The RAM will adjust itself to run fine but it may not be as fast as you bought (ie, you can look to step down the speed for extra ram). If you aren't going to touch the build for awhile I would maximize the RAM now as that's arguably the best bang for the buck.

Agreed. I run a Phenom II X4 965 Black with a 3.4 GHz core speed, overclocked it to 4.2 GHz with just the Hyper 212 and my 3 case fans and it only ran around 2C hotter. I have a $50 mid-tower. I agree with Samurai, unless you are trying to bulletproof your build for future upgrades (which has never really worked for me since the PC market changes so quickly) or push the envelope for the next month in graphics and processor technology, I would say look for the value buys in each option and be happy. Some of the extra budget could then be used for some niceties like a sweet keyboard/mouse or a better/second monitor. The one I got at work was a huuuuge boost and well worth it vs the last couple mhz in a processor.

Yeah, those are my videos. So "this person" was me. There was two points I tried to drive backwards but my tires did nothing but spin when going in reverse. I know in real life they do it to protect their engine, but I'm not sure how the damage works in Next Car Game yet. There's multiple points on the car in the lower left, maybe after so many of those are knocked out you get wrecked... maybe. The people that played, hmm.... I have used XP, 7, and 8 without any problems. They all have their quirks but none of them stand out as superior then the other. Though I would not recommend XP as its a bit out of date.

Assuming you want to play on the laptop monitor, I would go into your windows monitor settings and verify that the laptop screen is set to your main monitor. I would then check in game what your monitor settings are and make sure the resolution matches. It sounds like your game suddenly started choosing a bigger resolution? Just a thought. What OS are you running?

Its been some time since you did this, but If the header changed drastically i would at least find a place that can do a wideband log to double check. That said I have 0 experience with bikes. I know that exhaust headers play a lot into the power and more importantly the power band of a cars engine and would suspect the same in a bike engine.
