Hey all, So I was playing friday night and this guy started TKing teammates on the other team every round. CampKillYourself can second this, as others can also, I'm sure. The time was 12/18/2004 at about 1:45 to 2:00 AM. He left at approx 2:03 am when there was only 2 of us left on the server. (btw the times are CST) His steam ID is: STEAM_0:14578479 CKY said his steam ID Name was Jennarox. I was unable to find the screenshot I took of his score showing a -10 but CKY said he got a screenshot I believe. I don't often call for someone to be banned, but I know that everyone on the GC servers value responsible people and those with respect. These are qualities that were lacking in this case. As much as I wish I could go back to just having nothing more to worry about than classes and maybe homework. I love my job too much and that fact that once I'm done with work for the day I"M DONE for the day!

what about Cable modems? I've had wireless DSL and that was good, but the cablemodem I have now is awesome

I disagree somewhat. While I admit the 1.6 server wasn't full all of the time, like the Source has been, as more Source servers open up the number of players will decrease. I'm not saying there's anything wrong with the server, on the contrary I love playing on GC servers But judging from what I've seen the ban forums there's been lots of new people on the Source servers which would seem to imply that they're isn't that many Source servers yet and people are just playing on whatever they can get into. I will be getting HL2-cs:s everntually and playing cs:s, but I doubt that I'm the only one waiting for the Retail version either. I know several others that really enjoyed playing on Trop 1,2 or 3 and they now miss the server and the atmosphere very much! Personally I've been playing quite a bit LESS since the server switched because I really prefer Trop and the GC atmosphere. It isn't that easy to find a server with the kind of players and experience that Trop offered. I have a few others that I do play on, but as usual there's more players just whining about hackers, or yelling in the mics (yeah I know I talk too much on the mic), or spamming their music or just being plain IDIOTS. This is why I've stayed with Trop ever since I first found the server, well that and the ping Well I guess that's my story. P.S. I feel that I should've said a long time ago how much I appreciate having a server like GC's to play on. That's something that I think isn't said near enough.

^ Just wondering since the server's been coverted to Source. Will there be a reg 1.6 server ever anymore? I'm planning on getting HL2 / CS : Source but kinda want to wait for the retail, which who knows how long that'll be

Hey, So I was bored and noticed that the top kills (probalby others but I didn't look) for each gun hit the left arm over 30% of the hits for each gun. This means that aparently everyone hits the left arm more often than anything else. Thought this was kind of interesting and unsual. Wonder if the hit boxes are different and causes this? I don't know how the hit boxes are setup, but maybe it makes the left arm bigger because of the "way" the gun is held. Though I doubt valve would put that much thought into it. Or is this perhaps a glitch in the stats software?

HM But if you read the nice fine print: They aren't yet releasing HL2, so who knows when those of us who want to buy the retail Version (box) will be getting Source My bet is that they're just trying to get something out to keep everyone's interest going until they finally get HL2 out, which won't be for awhile I think stupid typos

No offense, but scouts IS A SERVER KILLER not one that starts playing. I don't mind playing it once and a great while, but about 95% of the time it gets switched to the teams get 1 sided and most everyone leaves by the end of the map. I can't count how many times we've had 15+ when it was changed to that map and then finished with 4 or less.

Use Geekplayer or SK Player I don't know the URL offhand but if you search either Google, or perhaps even a site like www.download.com you'll find it. Either one can make a stream of BMP's from your Demo at the Frame Rate you specify (which Video Mach can use to make a movie). Only downside is I don't know of a way to take the sound from a demo. Also a side note, make sure you check the "view demo" box so that you can use the player controls, then just do a command in console startmovie myClipNameHere 30 and hit enter, it will start making bmps (numbered) at 30 FPS for you in your cs directory, IT WILL BE SLOW, but just open console and type "endmovie" when you pas the endpoint of your clip This will take up some HD space since BMPs are NOT compressed, but it works GL

cool, just a question Is the statsme that displays end of round stats going to be installed in the future again? I noticed that it seemed to no longer be present lately?

man, Maybe one of these days I'll actually get around to finishing the video I started with Video Mach back in the fall/summer. Then again, College keeps me busy

you don't need a key for Video Mach II. Just hit "non commercial use" i think it's called. You can still use its full functionality.

Hello, Earlier today, Wed Feb 24th, I was playing on Tropolis at about 5:30 and I tk'd TFR | Dino once. I admit that I did tk him after he repeated blocked me from trying to leave the spawn. This was not a very smart decision on my part and I appologize. Magruter banned me after I admited to intentionally killing him. I attempted to explain mid game but was interupted by several people on their mic's arguing several things, including someone dropping an F word. This isn't an excuse I know but it was going on simulatneously. I've played on this server some time now with my roommate ?????? and we both enjoy the fun atmosphere of the server. I know the rules of the server and made a mistake of not thinking. I appologize and say that I will never do this again and ask that you please unban me so I can have a chance to prove my sincerety. just my 2 cents, bind "MOUSE1" "+attack; adjust_crosshair" that will change your crosshair color evertime you click the mouse button to shoot as for screen shots picking this up, Whenever you first load the game your crosshair color is the default color. It doesn't change until you shoot. Now that said, it isn't a foolproof way, and you'd have to avoid clicking your mouse until SS round. But I thought I'd just mention it

I'm for leaving them in, mainly since they are part of the game, and it's nice to see that people whine less about awps now and there is some contention. People don't realize that you can still take out someone that has one of these guns with something else. The only way they will learn is to try. Also The makers did this for a reason, the old auto's were almost never used by anyone, and at least now it's a more used weapon. Side note, I would like to see the shield enabled (just my personal opinion, but hey what in this isn't) but I also realize there's still glitches with it. Not like anyone ever said this was, or ever will be, a perfect game Life isn't always fair
