  1. Finished.....I normally would call you guys nuts for picking Radford over UNC, but with that toe injury on UNC, I don't have them going very far either.
  2. Not really, unless whoever buys this was "planning" on a trip beforehand. So they'd save more money by not buying that ticket altogether.
  3. Sweet. I love March Madness, but I didn't think the brackets came out until Sunday? By the way, your link doesn't work until after you have joined the group. Use this link to join: http://tournament.fantasysports.yahoo.com/

    in chicago

Where in Chicago? downtown? nothing really going on downtown this week, but I was at a concert tonight in the southern suburbs. I saw Shinedown and Saliva.
  5. Yah, that's sorta disappointing.
  6. I only beat them with humans on expert, the bots annoy me too much to even try expert without human players.
  7. Yah i used to love 94.7. Q101 is ok I guess, like you said ipod ftw.
  8. Hey. It's always nice to see a familiar face stop by.

  10. He used an Ericsson k850 Here's a random youtube video showing off that phone: [utube]w_Lz8CHzCt8[/utube] I guess he told me today that he's exchanging that phone for something different because he felt it was too expensive and he wanted something more web-friendly.
  11. That's because everyone who's not a reg is on our ban list
  12. 1) I've been playing Left 4 Dead mostly since it came out, but I'll be switching back to Team Fortress 2 starting Tues when the new 'Scout Update' comes out, and some Counter-Strike:Source from time to time. 2) I own a Wii, but I haven't touched it since I beat Mario Kart last summer. 3) None. 4) Nope.
  13. I think we should move this thread into the chit-chat section, or else some people may not even notice LongHair stopped by to say hi! btw LH, some people are playing CS:S still, some TF2, some L4D, some UT, some WoW. I guess the only game we all have in common now seems to be CS:S.
  14. It's not my cell phone. It's Steve's. I'll have to ask him next weekend because he's busy during the week and tends not to pick up the phone. All I know is he just got it last week and I think he said it can take up to 5 megapixel pictures.
  15. Thx for the feedback! I guess now I understand WHY it's better to use an up/down stroke. The only 'heavy rock band' I really use it for is Stone Temple Pilots. I know they use that technique in basically all of their songs. Or when I try to get that "chicka-chicka" sound like in Nirvana's Smells Like Teen Spirit chorus. I don't think punk/pop rock bands use that technique though? (like Blink 182 for example) Correctly me if I'm wrong.
  16. I've never used a metronome before. I usually just practice with the mp3 of the real song in the background when I practice at home by myself. I've never had guitar lessons so thanks for the downstroke/upstroke tip. Everything I've learned, I taught myself. I think you're right that it would sound better for this song, but like I said before, the other problem is I can't play a clean verse/heavy chorus without a footswitch, so the verse is really a pain to play now. A palm-muted verse sounds crappy and playing it normally would sound too heavy and too similar to the chorus. But when I finally get my footswitch that's something I'll keep in mind! Do you use an up/downstroke technique for most the songs you play? I rarely use it unless I'm playing clean/reggae sounding songs, but like I said, I've never had lessons. We don't have an 'official singer' now either, that's why Steve was singing. My girlfriend and her mom both said he sucks at singing but he's better than me. haha How would you rate him? Keep him on the mic or off the mic?
  17. [utube]g1rlygaFXjw[/utube] [utube]pcAvITvFWMs[/utube] Both of these videos are from the same guy. They made me lol.
  18. Today myself and 2 of my friends recorded a cover of Blur's Song 2 using my friend's cell phone. Our cover is nowhere near perfect. In fact, today was our first time playing this song together. I don't have a footswitch, so I had to palm mute the verse, which sounds ghetto. Steve didn't know all of the words either. Yet, I'd like to hear everyone's opinion on here who cares to share one. Be as harsh or as kind as necessary, but please just be honest. Keep in mind I take criticism as motivation to improve and take compliments warmly. I'm on the guitar (on the right) My friend Steve is singing and playing bass (left) My friend Anthony is drumming in the backround (Steve is blocking him ) [utube]coE9ROUCUWA[/utube] My friend Steve doesn't want this video to be public because he's embarrassed or whatever, so I'll leave it public for a few days for you guys to check out and then probably make it private.
  19. Yup, Joaquin has to be on some HARD drugs.
  20. What about Meg Kelly? who? was that the funny looking thing wearing a dress? Do you also call the tarp you throw over the boat during the winter a "dress"? Apparently the boat is engaged
  21. I finally set my PA system up with all the other equipment and when we turned up the volume on it so that the mic would be louder than the drums, we got a high pitched annoying buzzing sound. Sounded like interference or something. The only knobs the mixer has are for lows/highs/effects/volume. All were set in the middle except for the volume, which I cranked up. Which is when i got the ringing. I don't get this ringing when the volume is lower though. Any ideas of the cause? Cheap mixer? Mixer not tuned for loud volume maybe? Wires crossing? Cheap cables? Cheap mic? Speaker too close to amps or mic? Those are my ideas, but I haven't figured out yet why I'm getting that annoying high pitched sound.
