From what I've read and been told by friends, the highest things on the needs list are mens toiletry items, plus size adult clothing, kids/toddler/baby clothes, baby/kids shoes. Im sure anything will be appreciated though. But thats my best attempt to tell you whats *most* needed. You might wanna head for Food 4 Less or College Heights Christian School for a drop off point. But there are multiple drop-off spots in town.

Dave , stuff is so crazy here. Our local radio company Zimmer radio which has like 5 stations in town broadcasts 24/7 on all their channels about anything Tornado related. If you want i can try and keep you updated on current needs. Like i know for sure they are saying they don't need alot of clothing anymore. Not to say they wont need more at some point but yeah atm clothing is low on the list. Its hard to remember all the other stuff they're asking for specifically but like i said if you want i can try and pinpoint it. another update: still stable but in alot of pain. some mild disorientation. doesnt know where he is , very agitated and mean to people every now and then. guess its just a combination of things causing it.

quick update. he's increasingly stable. low grade fever still but he says he feels a tiny bit better. still in a ton of pain. when my mom got to the hospital this morning he was wide awake watching TV so its looking better. they are going to do a bone scan on his hip today to make sure its not in his hip and other than that just keep hoping the antibiotics keep working. his doctors say they really dont know where it came from because its so random and we'll probably never know. they're pretty positive its not his knee because its been just about a year to the date since he had them done. but i guess it can lay dormant for a while so who knows. all in all i feel alot better and just gonna continue to pray and know that everything is gonna be ok. clueless my dad will be 60 in december. im 28 and a pretty big dude but im pretty sure the old man could still wipe the mat with me. thanks all! keep up the prayers if you would.

Ill try and not make this too long winded. About a year ago my dad had a double knee replacement so he could get around, he was basically a cripple. For the best part of this past year he's been in perfect health, till this weekend ... We were on a family vacation and before we even left he was complaining of pain in his hip, but as usual my old man just ignores it and does whatever he feels like. Well as the day progressed he felt worse and worse, so bad that my mom rushed him home to the emergency room an hour and a half away at around midnight that night. Couldnt find anything major that late at night so they sent him home with some pain meds, to wait to see his doctors the next morning. He goes in the next day has a couple MRI's and they still cant find anything (thought it was his back, like a thrown disc or something). Then comes Tuesday morning @ about 1 am. I get a call from my sister saying dad is in really bad shape, they had to rush him to the hospital he was unresponsive etc, high fever couldnt move blah blah. Soooo after spending all night in the emergency room they finally moved him to ICU and made him confortable. They found out that he had some sort of infection but they werent sure what it was or what it ws caused by. He was somewhat stable and coherent. Last night was a tough fight for him and his fever came back along with MASSIVE amounts of pain. They determined that he has a bacterial infection called MRSA and that it was not only attacking his muscle structure but his joints and his entire bloodstream. So today they changed him to some super high powered antibiotics and they did surgery on his knee and shoulder to remove fluids and to replace some of the synthetic parts in his knee. Thankfully it has only attacked one shoulder and one knee, and the antibiotics are keeping him alive atm. This is some of the worst pain a human can endure as it attacks the very blood that runs through your body. He has pain just by touching him, so needless to say I'm a bit frazzled and I am by no means ready to give up my dad. Please pray for him and include him in all your prayer circles at your churches etc. My dad is the strongest man i know and has endured more pain throughout his life than anyone ive ever known, so i just pray to the lord he can pull through this life-threatening time. He has about 6-9 months of recovery ahead of him if everything stays stable. Just praying it does. Thanks everyone.

built a new rig finally. took a few months to convince the little woman to agree to it. but i got everything in on thursday and put it together over the weekend. im really enjoying it , just turning everything up max settings and not even worrying about it. i7 920 Asus p6T ATI 4890 Corsair 6 gig Dominators OCZ GXT 850W psu and a new 22inch Samsung widescreen should last me a few years!
