No, I think weak-minded is a polite but accurate term for hackers. Someone who does not have the will or patience to build true skill at the game, hacks,thus ruining it for the rest of us. Swords post was very good, and would only be found offensive by someone who is,or has been a hacker. (not saying that you are,don't get excited)

I wish I could help you but i'm stumped, If you have another pc and can get to the internet, check out www.anandtech.com, go through the tech support forums, TONS of info there, i've found what i've needed many times there. Sorry I can't do more.

Other than the rat, I find squirrels rather humorous. I know I am easily amused. I had trouble getting the cd version to work, I used the floppy set up, it was easy, just boot to it and go, I would assume if you use the cd, you would have to set your BIOS to boot from the cd, or run it from a command prompt. Beware, my test ran for HOURS.

Even if its temporary until a different games comes out, I still like the idea of no scoped weapons, and whoever says it's not fair, must not be able to play without them, it is fair, everyone has to get in there and get dirty, no campin on a remote crate waitin for some poor sucka to walk in his crosshairs. Some may not like it, that's why Recrude isn't going anywhere, but lifes about choices, and I for one would play on it, even if it's not a permanent thing, something would be better than nothing. I'm sure that there are hackers out there and in our server. Your post is very in-depth and the time it took you to research is appreciated. My suggestions are this, don't mention any names (as you have'nt done yet) without a recorded demo with very clear and concise proof that they are hacking, nothing will be done without it. As far as GC members hacking, i'd like to think not, but tread very lightly on that one, I don't actually know how to handle that to be honest, I guess I'd go to the top through PM's and stuff like that before posting anything, this could all turn into a big mess if accusations start flying without just cause. The bottom line is, that we will probably have to wait for Valve to implement some kind of anti-hack as you mentioned. It's just to difficult and time consuming to figure it all out at this level. So my final thought is this, anyone reading this thread should not allow it to turn into a blame game, filled up with peoples names and no proof to hang them with.

If we are not getting the use out of it then yeah, I would say switch it rather than add a new one. If anyone wants to get an HL2DM fix, they can go to a pub. My other question is, what happened to Ante? Can we have another CS server without the technical problems we had there?

This map would be really fun, minus the snipers, other than that it's really cool and different, but with snipers, CT's can't hardly even get out of spawn area. There are 2 high points with doors that the T's can quickly secure, and with an autosnipe, they can lay waste to about the whole team. I think people will like it at first but after a week the forums will be full of people screaming for it to go.

We're not just paying for a reserve though, we are contributing to something that we enjoy as a community so that it is able to remain here, and as members, we all have the responsibility of keeping it the way that we have all come to love it. Reserves are something we get as a priviledge of this contribution, Alot of people including myself payed before there were working reserves. I think this this is what we stand for, not just "pay me for a reserve spot." Sword has played here enough to understand that I think, he just got ticked off as people sometimes do, should have calmed down and worded it different.

Now with more non-members becoming increasingly annoyed by getting kicked because of reserves, a new CS server may work out good even if it's not a custom map thing, i'm sure all of us would try to spread ourselves around. Just an idea that I posted elsewhere before, I personally would love to see a place to go where there were no scoped weapons, that gets so frustrating and not fun when it turns into a sniper-fest. Even if it were just certain maps or times, I would love the chance to play without snipers camping leisurely waiting to pick you off from a safe and comfortable distance.

I don't know who banned him, but I thought i'd just chime in and say, he plays fairly regularly, and I have never seen him act out of line before. Hopefully just a mis-understanding. I addition, I think the new admin mod automatically boots for excessive tk's, so no one may have actually banned him, we'll just sit tight and see if anyone claims this.
