Thanks for the tip... On a side note, Tylak is well known as a great map maker within my HL mod community. There is still an active community for a mod called Firearms that Tylak made a couple of the most popular maps of all time for. OoooH! shep48 September 17, 2005 Author Share shep48 Member September 17, 2005 Unzip this zip file into your ..\Steam\SteamApps\yourname@email.com\half-life 2\hl2\maps Make sure you have subfolders enabled because there is a graphs folder inside the zip file that contains navigation information for the level's AI. If you fail to install the graph files (.ain) they will be rebuilt when the level is loaded. This will take about 5-30 seconds depending on your machine. Once the files are installed right click on HL2 in your steam launcher. Go to Properties->Launch Options , type "-console" in the space provided without quotes. Close the window and launch HL2. What I've been doing recently is running through the entire game with the super gravity gun. It has some unexpected results when used on NPC's. Try it out. Unclean September 17, 2005 Share Unclean Member September 17, 2005 Go to the console, type the following commands. 1. sv_cheats 1 2. map d3_citadel_04 3. changelevel d1_trainstation_01 4. give weapon_physcannon It's by FAR the most fun I've had in HL2 to date. Ice_Berge_00 September 20, 2005 Share Ice_Berge_00 GC Alumni September 20, 2005 Download the Steam SDK. This includes the Hammer map editor for making yoru own maps. Be sure to check out the tutorials for LOTS of help for making maps. Hmm, me thinks it might be time for a GC map making tutorial... I think I"m gonna try and put something very helpfull together with as much info as I can. As for making maps, start simple, 1: make a basic room 2: make a fy(free for all) room that's just for shooting people up 3: make a simple bombing map (if you're donig CS:S maps) 4: start with your first serious map here That's my initial thinking anyways Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
