I've seen things similar to the first things on my screen, usually it involves hostages being stretched toward me as soon as they appear on screen. It's on Piranesi, Italy and a couple of others. If you're dead and in free look mode go outside the map itself and look around and you might find it. Saris November 12, 2005 Share Saris Member November 12, 2005 There's an area in every outdoor map called the skybox, which creates the buildings/sky, around a map through an illusion, rather than actually building a set. That is why when you set foot outside the map, it disappears. The actualy skybox is a small 1/16 replica of the map, found anywhere outside the map. The engine blows up the skybox and everything in it by 16x and wraps it around the map to create the illusion of the sky, and surrounding buildings, without having them to actually be there (reduces lag). Hence, teleporting someone into the skybox blows them up by 16x, and they appear as part of the background. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
