mookie March 12, 2006 Share mookie GC Alumni March 12, 2006 That sounds like serious trouble of some sort. Try reinstalling the software, maybe it's just a glitch.

stutters March 13, 2006 Share stutters GC Alumni March 13, 2006 that's a nero error. dvdshrink will give you the cycle redundancy errors... have you spent the $15 on a dvd lens cleaner? i burn about 25 dvds/week, and clean at LEAST once a week....sometimes every 15 dvds. mookie March 13, 2006 Share mookie GC Alumni March 13, 2006 i think the movie has a built encyrption. what movie is it? try anydvd and clonedvd2 If you're backing up DVDs, I see no reason not to strip the encryption. Just rip the discs using DVD Decrypter into an ISO image.
NOFX March 13, 2006 Share NOFX Member March 13, 2006 I use DVD Shrink to create my ISO and then later on I burn with nero and never have any problems.

stutters March 16, 2006 Share stutters GC Alumni March 16, 2006 just curious, are you doing all the backup from dvdshrink with the "enable burning with nero" option, or are you doing it some other way? edit -> preferences -> file i/o (tab). "enable burning with nero"

YoMamma May 7, 2006 Share YoMamma Member May 7, 2006 Goot, if the movie you wish to back up is new, chances are that nothing is wrong w. your DVD burner or Nero. DVDShrink is s free program that has been around for a while now. The problem is that the people making the DVDs know this and are building new copy-protections onto newer DVDs. PM with the name of the movie you're trying to back-up and Ill tell you for sure if DVDShrink is the problem. On a side note: "anydvd" is not a free program, but it works on literally any DVD. They update this program so often that it can get around copy-protections that dont even exist yet.
gOOters May 8, 2006 Author Share gOOters Member May 8, 2006 meh, it happened all of a once and there werent no dadgum reason for all of a once all the dvds to stop burning. it aint jest one.
J. Dunlavy May 8, 2006 Share J. Dunlavy Member May 8, 2006 On newer releases, I've been getting errors as well. Methinks DVDs have a newer CSS version (unlikely) for they found some way to obfuscate the DVD structure to burners.
YoMamma May 8, 2006 Share YoMamma Member May 8, 2006 meh, it happened all of a once and there werent no dadgum reason for all of a once all the dvds to stop burning. it aint jest one. Hmm.... then perhaps the DVD-burner is to blame.
